No its not. Not at all. You can just get Skype and use that with your friends. If everyone could talk on a server, you wouldn't be able to directly talk to anyone. Just use chat, especially since there's stuff like /whisper and /msg.

Minecraft was so great before it got invaded by every 12 year old on the planet. The fact that the entire world was destructible was so new and fun, despite it being made of blocks. When the game came out, Minecraft's image was a lot less childish and cartoony and a lot more "Woahhh retro 8-bit graphics awesome." But seeing Minecraft now? It's almost annoying. The game is definitely still fun, but even hearing the name "Minecraft" makes me shudder now - because it's most often spoken from little kids or youtubers catering their content towards kids. That's just me, though.

I understand, when I first played Minecraft, I would get on the Minecraftforfree website because I couldn't afford it. When Mojang added servers for it, I would get on a server, and the entire world for at least a 60 chunk radius around the spawn was literally nothing but players killing each other with their bare hands, dirt blocks, and cobblestone, and holes to bedrock. No life, no trees, no grass, no resources. It was so shitty and torn apart, even the hostile mobs would only spawn in the little cobblestone boxes scattered everywhere.

Hey Ian and Anthony. So i don't know how to start this.. Okay, i want to say that both of you mean very much to me and i don't have the right words to express how grateful i am for everything that you guys did for us fans. I've been in a lot of situations where i was in worst mood possible and at times like that i always watched your videos and i got to say that you guys really helped me to be positive again. I found your channel in 2010 and since then i fell in love with it. Every Friday i am waiting for hours for the new video to be uploaded and i can't stand when people say that the video sucks, i don't get it how people don't understand that you guys are only humans like everyone else and you can't always produce awesome content. (For me everything you guys make it's awesome because i know that you guys put a lot of love into it) Because of you guys i found out what i really want to do in my life and that is making videos. NO i don't want to promote my channel in any way. You guys don't have a clue how happy it makes me to know that you are gonna read this. So once again i want to thank you guys for all the videos you make and please don't ever stop doing what you are doing.
