Many years ago, we were at a Homowo party in James Town when an argument erupted as to who was the best right winger among the Black Stars of yesteryear --- Baba Yara or Osei Kofi. Fortunately for us, who else but defender Addo Odametey was sitting nearby. He had played with and also against both legends in the Black Stars and at Hearts of Oak respectively. He was therefore asked to tell us who was who. He informed us that although Baba Yara was the best right winger in Ghana at the time, Osei Kofi was the best overall forward line player.

They were the first professional club in Ghana. Later, on we got Sekondi Independence with Robert Mensah as the goalkeeper. He came back to Dwarfs after the 1966 coup.
