Ma'am and sir , I want to clear one thing out, you said that defence needs more people rather than entertainment world , but, let us take an example , I say that I want to become a youtuber because that's what I am interested in , so even if I try and achieve a good defence post , I would not be able to give my 100% in that field because being a youtuber was my goal. So I think that is the difference. But it is very true that these people who protect our nation deserve more respect . I agree with you. But this was my perspective.

Agreed. Plus a 21st century military needs better gear and equipment and tech rather than more military personnel.

Army's salary is already quite high. Now do the same for other paramilitary forces like bsf, crpf, cisf, itbp etc.

1. DA - Dearness allowance ( Cost of living adjustment allowance - increase frequently because of inflation & rising cost of living ) 2. MSP - Military service Pay ( think it as a special pay exclusively for army personnel because of their hardships , putting their life on risk e.t.c basically to encourage them to) Also why major general and General do not receive MSP ? - rationale behind this is that they are now tied to administrative roles and do not take part in direct combat or planning.

Ek govt doctor, officers(jo UPSC/state pcs se select hue hai),professor(assistant, association prof ke baad), scientist/engineer jaise salary military officers ka bhi hota hai. Prime minister & president ki salary esase thora adhik hota hai but only president ko tax nahi lagta hai. Governer& chief minister&ministers ko sayad esase thora kam salary hota hai... ***Salary ki baat kiye hai(power or image&samman ki baat nahi ho rahi😊)&desh/samaj ka structure hi esa design hai(limited knowledge ke saath indirectly aap to desh+duniya ke Great civilization per hi question kar rahe😂)
