" building the equivalent of the pinnacle of sci-fi inspired super soldier technologies" lets be honest right here, it's just cosplay with some next step, it's nowhere near the "equivalent" of the actual thing.

@@claire6650 Ah, yes, because Cosplay typically has kevlar/aramid layers and ballistic plates, which in this very video he says they plan on implementing into the armor pieces (hence why he speculated a collab with guntubers like Demolition Ranch to provide live-fire testing when they get to that point in development). Even the undersuit shown in this video has stab-proof kevlar layers. Boy, shut yo mouth lolol

@@jonathanoriley8260 That's why i said it's cosplay with some next step because that's what it is, stop being delusional
@jonathanoriley82606 ай бұрын
@@claire6650 That is completely opposite from the definition and use of cosplay. One does not design cosplay with the purpose of ballistic defense and computer networking in-mind. Cosplay is just costumes; _nothing more._ The moment it begins providing true functionality capable of practical application is the moment it is no longer "cosplay". As someone who served in the US Navy, and as a fellow sailor already mentioned in the comments, the undersuit/Spartan BDU shown here alone would already provide real benefits for nukes and other rates that typically work in the lower decks and engine compartments. The cooling and blunt force/stabbing protection would be a godsend in those environments. As for the armor components themselves, the HUD systems alone are far beyond what is necessary for "cosplay". Working HUDs have had military applications since the 80s and 90s particularly with pilots originally, such as with the MiG-29 back then and the F-35 today. And again, the significance of a working exo-suit type system with functional ballistic protection must not be understated. These concepts have already, for good reasons, been tested years ago by DARPA and military contractors; the only issue has always been the power supply. But "battery" technology has advanced significantly over the last decade alone. If Installation00 succeeds in this project, it will at the very least provide a proof-of-concept that I guarentee will have governments and military contractors around the world give a good hard look at.

The technology you are pouring into this is absolutely amazing. Bravo to you and your team, and I can't wait to see what is to come. A thought I had about the armor moving forward. For whoever is going to where the entire suit once it is assembled, it may not be a bad idea to measure and then input into the system what their end range of motion is for each joint. This way, in theory, should the armor have a similar power to be able to read and help initiate the movements you want to make, it can't over exaggerate the movement and end up hurting the wearer. Essentially, if you only have 110 degrees of knee flexion, it won't bring you past that and end up tearing a muscle or something worse. I know we are bound to the technology of our time, and the suit may not be able to read our neurological inputs like Chiefs does, but with all the things you are talking about, it sounds like you are on track for the suit to have the ability to help make each movement that much easier for the wearer. Just some thoughts from a humble follower of the work. I can't wait to see what you all develop next!

Hi. Cool project. Glad to find someone who went further than making children's toys. Maybe you'll find it useful, years ago I designed clothes for truck drivers. I came up with a multi-layer fabric that is organised like a double-glazed window pane. The layers are separated from each other by small sleeves in which a valve is built in. So these sleeves separate the layers and change the air, drawing excess heat and moisture away from the body. The first layer is made of mesh to keep heat between the suit and the body. There are temperature and humidity sensors throughout the suit. In areas where it is hotter, valves are opened. The transition from layer to layer is gradual so that there is no sudden change. The main issue is condensation. It was a long time ago and the computing power of the device was weak. Also one more element may be useful. This is a belt that controls the pressure on the body. The volume of the body changes in different positions. Sensors control the tension and keep the same pressure on the body without squeezing it. A rubber belt changes its length but increases the pressure. Then I found on the internet an artificial skin that changes its elasticity when an electrical signal is applied. Good luck!

The core of the mounting system is an arming jacket (yours might be high-techy of course) of which the arms are hung off. The legs can be strapped there, too. But a separate C-belt or lendenier might be more comfortable for this. So to speak, if arms and legs are separated, they move more freely. i would not recommend shooting the titanium shell of your Mk1 helmet. titanium is great for things which need tensile strength while being light weight, but it is not good for shock loading or force absorption. ceramic is used in ballistic plates because it fractures on impact, dispersing the force across a larger area, which is what kevlar does. most helmets in service around the world today use kevlar or similar materials because they are lighter, but they are not rifle rated. they will stop (some) pistol rounds, but rifle rounds move much too fast for them to disperse the force fast enough. just don't want you to waste money if you don't have to. you're gonna be better off using something like a UHMWPE/ceramic material for the chest plate over titanium. lv4 ceramic plates will stop small arm AP impacts, and are multi hit capable, but keep in mind that will need replaced if it is shot. lv3 will stop up to M80 7.62x51mm FMJ, but smaller rounds that are moving fast, such as M193 5.56 will go through it. there are various special threat plates available, the materials of which you could use, to achieve a sort of middle ground. lv4 plates are heavy, unless you're paying a lot of money for them, but a decent weight would be about 7lbs for one, which would cover most of your lungs, the heart, the chest cavity, and a portion of your intestines, but that is for a SAPI or ESAPI cut plate, which is very different than MJOLNIR.

If you're using metal on that helmet, it should have a thin kevlar liner as a spall liner or people are gonna die from fragmentation wounds if they every test it ;) - same applies to the chest plate. Wrap the titanium in ballistic kevlar. It'll prevent spalling and should help a touch with preventing penetration.

I'm absolutely blown away by this. The details, the functionalities, THE LOOKS OF IT. And btw, as a cosplayer and planning on building a Mjolnir Mk6 Gen. 3 myself in the near future, I'll keep a close eye on those helmet kits you mentioned! Hell, I'd also try to add cooling to my build, based on your system! But I'm afraid I'll fail miserably xD
@Carimm606 ай бұрын
Is the suit solid and functional? I mean do any of the padded point have problems breaking off from the fabric part of the suit? Also how does the fabric hold up to stress and tears? Either way its extremely impressive, I am very interested in how this develops as it could have real world implications for motorcycle safety and other extreme sport safety suits.

My problem with the Spartan army is that it weight would likely make it unsuitable for unimproved surfaces. At over a ton with a footprint slightly bigger than a human foot, every step would dig into dirt and damage road surfaces of he were running
@willpoirier88806 ай бұрын
Doubt it its only like 700-800lbs, but, there’s many heavier animals,vehicles ect…
@xXx_Regulus_xXx6 ай бұрын
@@willpoirier8880 vehicles spread their weight out over the surface area of four tires and they roll, a human wearing a few hundred pounds of equipment still only has two feet to spread the weight, and we stomp. trying to run in Mjolnir over anything softer than really tightly compacted dirt or clay would feel closer to sand.
@RovingTroll6 ай бұрын
@@willpoirier8880 it weights over 500 kilograms, that's more than 1000 pounds, and it's focused on the footprint of a human that can run 50 miles per hour. That's a lot of weight and force on a very small area. If the ground is wet he's going to sink up to his fucking knees
@willpoirier88805 ай бұрын
@@RovingTroll doubt it, i mean alot of hooved animals don’t have that problem while weighing considerably more 🤷♂️ look at meese, moose mooses whatever the heck lol, they weigh wayy more and live in humid areas. Side note do spartan boots have like, a rubber sole. Also no mjolnir weighs between 700s to mid 800 lbs usually. Afaik the only suit that heavy is the centurion

For cosplay use only, now if only 12-20 slaved phone's to act as c.p.u.'s so you can have a head's up display a modified Google hay contana using voice recognition to use features in your suit. Back part/batteries/laptop(central computer unit all phones are slaved to) much latter module's exoskeleton between skin and armor.(Only viable when you get wayyyyyy better batteries.)

One day can you make me mark b assault armor of my choice of armor options, helmet, knee guards, shoulder guards, arm additional armor brass, leg additional armor plate, increase the thickness of the gell layer, and colour it caol black, and pink armor colour, and gunginer helmet, and Jorge's greinarder chest plate-collar, maybe Jorge's backpack caol black colour, also how much would it cost. 😊

Not sure if titanium will work as well for upper weapons such as assault rifles if it's just titanium. I've had an idea for awhile now but can't proof it when ive seen a bunch of those bulletproof vests videos on this platform. My idea: An titanium alloy metal that is the part that will show then behind that is a non newtuionium fluid hooked up to a electricity system( an idea I had because these fluids react to kinetic electricity and harden so why not apply electricity to the fluid and harden it prematurely). Then behind this would be kevlar with a steel frame for your exo-suit your building.
@captainblack43646 ай бұрын
Great video. However, is using alcohol as the cooling medium apropos for a body armor, if the suit is breached by certain types of rounds or plasma couldn't it potentially ignite the fluid and cause catastrophic damage throughout the suit wherever the fluid tubing runs?

You could try using slash resistant fabric for both the top piece and bottom piece. Oh and magnetically attach to a stiffly padded belt for comfort.... Just a thought.
