Had this for a few days. Sits well in the pocket, light and clip working well. Happy without thumb stud personally as it'll snag. Good review :)

Awesome review buddy, it might have been a long video but to be honest I didn't notice until you mentioned it at the end. No harm in doing long ones if you can keep people's attention. Just got the Luna light. Nice little knife.

Still doing long ones a year later 😂. Moving onto tear downs now as well 👌🏼. Indeed for the money I think it’s a great little knife, perfect for people who are looking for a first knife as well. It would have been a lovely addition for sure 👌🏼, I’m not a fan of nail nics or two handed opening personally. The stud made all the difference in my opinion ! Im guessing it just wasn’t in their design 🤷🏼‍♂️.

I’ve looked at this but I already have the ti and the HH edition but I do like the red and black so maybe ,the minimal blade play is the double detente . My ti is for sale or trade .

It’s a wonderful one that ti version! I’m really digging the black and red though 👌🏼. I’m just double checking as I did not think the Luna had a detent system in place 🧐. The ti Luna just not up your street ?

@@BladedArticles no your right ignore that comment it has a back spring getting my knives muddled up , the ti is a lovely knife but it’s not really my blade style for edc . I just brought the luna’s for my collection.

Possibly the Pilar you where saying about the detent ? I was so confused and was double checking everywhere 😂. Oh I see ! Well yes each to their own of course, I too have blades that are just not for me 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Hello friend - would it be possible for you to do an update review on how the coating is holding up? I have just bought the blackout version and I love it so much that I don't want to get it all scratched up! I'm just keen to see how robust the coating is.

Hello sir, wonderful grab with the blackout version ! If you are on instagram I can personally show you how it is holding up if you wish ? I can tell you it’s been pretty sweet so far though. But also I have not been using it for everything. It’s been in my rotation and I carry it at least once or twice a week as a spare.

You can get them from Heinnie Haynes, if you prefer the black one to match with the blade then eBay is your best bet, but I could only find them coming from China. A friend brought a few and gave me one of those.

I'm hovering over the Buy button right now, but am just concerned about how the black coating holds up on the blade. Any comments/issues? Is the silver blade the better option for long term?

Please bear in mind I’m not a lawyer but from what I have read and as a whole a thumb stud is still fine on there. However some officers may takes this differently, it’s all subjectively speaking really. But if you look at the certain knifes with cutouts in the blade like the spyderco UKPK that’s one handed opening as well so it’s generally ok. Yes you can pick the thumb studs up from Heinnie Haynes too, or if that fails and you don’t mind waiting eBay but they will come from China.

Decisions Decisions ! It’s a very nice light blade to use just depends on colour for you really I suppose. I have got to admit the black and red looks sooo good ! Let me know which one you go for 👍🏼🙌🏼

@@BladedArticles I'm really in two minds. I'm not a fan of coated blades on folders. I've got the Böker tech tool from heinnie so I suppose that covers the real steel look and I have my eye on the heinnie Pilar. I just prefer coated blades on bushcraft or survival knives, not edc's. But then it does look good. Talking myself round in circles here 😭

Im sure you will make a grand decision whatever you go for man ! I can definitely see you are talking yourself round in circles here 😂. A Pilar is another good shout though ! I definitely recommend getting phosphor bronze washers if you get one though 👌🏼
