Let me share my take on this: Ang mga modern diesel engines ngayon, hinahabol or tinatapatan ang emissions ng gas engines. Kaya sobrang dami na ng sensors and what not ang modern day diesel engines ngayon ay para maging at par or even supersede some petrol engines in terms of emissions. Yan ang labanan. Palinisan ng buga. Bonus na lang yung power. Ang diesel, likas na mas may torque kumpara sa gas thats why they often power larger vehicles. And yes, mas efficient ito. Pero ang diesel, wala yan power kung walang forced induction (turbo).

Kaya nga good option na din ngyn kumuha ng gasoline car.. My In-Laws have the Mitsubishi Adventure and I have a Suzuki XL7.. And recently mas tumaas pa presyo ng diesel samin compare sa gasolina. Ung Advie average ng 12 km/L ung XL7 naman nag aaverage ako ng 16km/L.. Mas tahimik pa, Mas kumportable suspension, tsaka mas advance pa mga features. Pag may hahakutin nalang na mabigat nagagamit ung Adventure. Btw Nice content sir.. 👍

Addendum lang sa environment part while diesel produces less CO2 on the flip side of the coin petrol cars generally produces less NO2 (around 30% less) which can cause respiratory problems. May fine particulate matter rin ang fumes ng diesel which may cause cancer. So kinda like pick your poison lang 😅

sakin gas kung short drives and diesel for long drive. halos personal preference nalang ata. pero hindi ko saisip na mas matipid pala talaga ang gas in a way gaya ng sabi mo mas marami kailangan oil sa deisel engine normally around 5.5 litres mostly. tapos yung pinaka matindi na fact is yung soothing! ilang beses na ako nag linis ng manifold para gumanda takbo nung deisel. hindi pa kasama jan ang regeneration nung dpf filter (which is waste ng pera kung hindi ka naman nag lolong drive) pero yung petrol once ko pa lang pina wallnut blast. so in short mas mura pala talaga petrol in a long term at the same time yung diesel kasi kargahan mo lang takbo lang yan ng takbo so i dont know! hindi ko masagot personal preference ko is petrol for performance (i.e. racing) tapos diesel for daily drive (mas maganda kung long drives)

I agree. gas mas mura maintenance in my experience kahit mas matakaw comparing like for like displacement. Diesel naman matipid at malakas torque sa mababa na rpm pero mahal maintenance lalo na kung turbo, pero more ideal for heavy loads. sa mga non-luxury brands diesel vs gas, mas tahimik, matulin, at responsive pa rin ang gas comparing similar displacement (turbo pa yung diesel ha while yung gas n/a lang. kung turbo gas, malamang napakatulin na nun compare sa turbo diesel at n/a gas)

Current situation and prices of fuel. Gas na lang if for family car, cheaper pa ang maintenance. Torque lang talaga advantage ng diesel pero enough na naman ung performance ng mga sasakyan even gasoline for travel eh, di ka naman makikipagkarerahan sa kalsada. Pero if there’s a need for me gumamit ng pang kargahan, diesel would be my best option. proven naman na mas malakas pag diesel powered ang suv lalo na turbo diesel na halos lahat ngayon. Pero for daily driving, a compact gas vehicle would be my best option. Lalo na, solo or 2 at most lang naman sumasakay ngayon. Daily driven yung kotse ko. Highway and city umabot ako 16km/l, sulit.

@@officialrealryan Gas Engine is really cheaper to maintain lalo na kong naturally aspirated sya. No turbo and intercooler to maintain po. Very informative po ang mga videos nyo sir Ryan. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
