Im glad you made a video about this ! So many women have such unrealistic expectations about their hair.

I def agree youtube as well as Facebook are not the places to figure out why you are having hair issues. I started losing hair a while back. I went to several doctors and trichologists. One diagnosis was stress related hair loss the other was androgenic alopecia. I tried Rogaine which works but stopped because I didn't want to use it forever and there is a pill that helps but it has its own crazy side effects. I finally found a stylist who is also a trichologist. She believes the same thing about the hair/ body reflecting internal issues. She gave me a zyto scan and it showed some deficiencies. I also had blood work done and was low on Vitamin D. I now take the appropriate supplements as well as eat a nutrient enriched diet. I will say my hair has grown back in quite a bit. Of course I still have shedding but nearly not as much. As always get video, love the message!

Yes I have thick, long, natural hair & when I am stopped and asked about my hair I always tell them it’s genetics 🧬 my parents still have a head full of hair at 79 and 80 😄

I take biotin, vite D, vite B complex, and folic acid, and a multi vite. Not to grow my hair...that was a happy little side effect. I'm on a chemotherapy med and my doctor prescribed a "vitamin cocktail" to counteract the way the chemo breaks down the body afterwards.

@@ALove4Me oh much better since the confirmed my dx. Blood disorder called ET. The chemo...I'm on that for the rest of my life....it reduces my platelets. I intend to outlive every body. Haha

The body considers hair as low priority...so you have to get your health in check, add vitamins, drink water, eat properly etc. When the body has extra nutrients...it sends the extra to low priority cells...like hair, skin and nails.

Totally true! Anything you put on top of your hair is strictly for maintenance or Style. It's the things that you take into your body and also environmental factors can have an effect. I just got out of very high-stress living situation 3 months ago and I noticed in the past year how my hair is thinning and not responding as well as it had in the past. I chalked it up to premenopause. Especially since I was taking a multi vitamin biotin B-Complex and fish oil. Nothing has changed in the past 3 months except for my living circumstances. And suddenly three months later my hair is thicker stronger, and I'm having less issues with it. There is not a one-size-fits-all and we should stop trying to seek out that magic pill or treatment. Go see a doctor, take stock of your life, and accept yourself for who you are.

I would say to everyone get your thyroid checked as well as vitamin d and iron deficiencies usually don't come one at a time it's usually perfect storm

I LOVE this video... yep Genetics first, then what's in or missing from the blood, and third stage of life hormonally. Genetics as a topic is deeper than your direct parents, but for me bottom line that's essential is Love what God gave you first, and then see how you can help it to thrive fully.

Iron supplements has been a Godsend for me, as well. I lacked iron in spades 😄 My hair is the best its ever been. I also follow a keto way of eating, so that is a factor, too.

Hi! What iron supplements are you taking? I ask because it's hard finding one that doesn't cause constipation.

I applaud you for bringing up the elephant in the room. We want quick fixes when its education that we need. Genetically, I have thick, dense hair, but years of tight braids has caused some traction alopecia. When I began taking a good multivitamin for women my age, I have noticed some fullness return. But I'm still struggling with being consistent with a routine. Your videos help. I have been a silent fan for several years now. I have watched you grow and shine in so many areas. I tip my hat :)

Everybody wants long hair from some miracle product, nobody really puts together that what you take internally is the real cause of great skin and long thick hair🤷🤦
