I come back to these videos whenever I need them. I have read with them, especially this one, more times than I can count. Following this rewatch, I hope to comment each time I'm back. This time, I'm reading The Roughest Draft by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka. I hope everyone who sees this is doing well. ❤

This was a great video for me! I've been trying to read 1 book all year long but I find it tremendously difficult to concentrate! Even with other reading rooms I'd start to wander but I continued reading even after your video was done! Thinking of doing this on my channel (not this account )! Thanks for the awesome vid!

I read 27 pages. That was one chapter in my book. Today I read a little slower than usual, I thought I was going to read more. Yesterday I read for one hour and I got up to 3 chapters. I absolutely love the video❤📚. Also I am reading Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare.

This helped me not take my phone while reading and start scrolling in Instagram. I'm reading a book that needs a lot of focus and thinking on my part so I only got 16 pages read but that's better than nothing. Loved the video and the music!

I love these types of videos! It's so soothing and peaceful. I have a question/or two for you Ciara! 1. Did or Do you ever get distracted easily or ever while reading...? Because I have ADD and even if I didn't If I hear the slightest sound like the wind blowing I lose my concentration super easily. Idk if you have that same issue or problem while reading or with doing other things/tasks as well like studying or what but if you have any advice on how to Idk if I'd say how to control it better but I guess more so how to not get as easily distracted if that makes sense. I'd recommend a video on it. Like maybe make a video like of helpful tips that you've used and that you feel maybe I and other people could use as well. Because I'd definitely watch it if you did :D 2. Just out of curiosity are you a slow reader or would you say an average reader...? I'm asking because I'm a slow reader and again it all has to come down to with me getting distracted really easily. I just hate it. I hate reading slowly because I feel as though I didn't get enough reading or books read in 1 year as I would've liked. I compare myself to others like anyone else does and I'm so amazed but at the same time so jealous that some people can get 10 books done in like 1 month like what's your secret? lol! I do my best not to do that though because it doesn't help my mental health it only worsens it more and more when I do compare myself to others. But yeah that's it. Great video I really enjoyed it :)

I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! My brother has ADHD too! I am DEFINITELY someone that gets distracted very easily and it is hard to make yourself focus for long periods of time! One thing that helps me is doing short bursts, maybe reading for 10 or 15 minutes then taking a break, that way your brain gets a bit of a rest and doesn’t start wandering as easily! But also remind yourself that it’s okay to get distracted, loads of things are always happening around us and it’s not easy to block them all out and just read! In terms of reading id say I’m probably an average speed reader but when it comes to reading, just try and remind yourself that it’s not a race, whether you read 1 book a month or 10 books a month, as long as you enjoy yourself that’s all that matters!☺️

This is such a nice idea! Didn't it feel weird though filming yourself while reading? I think I would become a little nervous because it would feel like somebody was watching me during my reading session and I'd be so tempted to look at the camera all the time, which you didn't do at all, so chapeau! :D This video is so relaxing and all of your videos are so "aesthetic" (I apologise for using this word) colour and editing wise!
@ciarascorner4 жыл бұрын
Thank you - glad you liked it! And haha, I feel like it would be weird the first time you film yourself for reading but I film clips like this all the time for vlogs, they just usually get sped up! It is SO HARD not to keep looking over at the camera though ahah! And oooh, don’t apologise, I’m taking it as a compliment, thank you so much!🥰
