On what bases is it "fake" and not just a different batch from the same company?

Because I’ve had both "fake" and "authentic" but don’t see any difference in the scent

I’ve shown it on the video. I’m not really one of those fragrance reviewers who talk or even put captions on their videos. I just show the bottle comparison for people who purchases their bottles and are in doubt they got fake ones. Like the atomizer, what’s under the cap, also the batch code at the bottom of the bottle and sticker and information prints. It’s all there. Fake is fake. I returned it to the shop and told them it’s fake and they never even argued and gave me my money back. The scent is a dead give away you got a fake. It smells like water mixed with alcohol and something sweet and doesn’t feel full like most fake juices are.

i guess one way to find out is the smell. if it smells like weird concoction of water alcohol and something sweet. chances are it's fake.

@@eclipseotik Make 10 sprays from your bottle and let it sit for one to two months. Place it back in its box or store it in a drawer or a dark place where no natural light can reach it. In my opinion, Middle Eastern fragrances need time to mature to enhance their performance and improve the quality of the scent.

I think I just got a fake. It doesn’t smell much and its more like alcohol with water. And only lasts for a minute. I am assuming it’s a fake because I don’t know how the original smells. Hopefully I can return it

Both are real the fakes don't print batch codes on box and bottle and they don't match whenever they do, those are a year apart and they change packaging all the time.

Even others chimed in and said they have the same "fake" packaging and their fragrance is top quality. If they were fake it would be nothing but water in them. The shop refunded your money to get rid of you not because they are not legit

So, i checked my box and my bottle, it is authentic but the smell is absolutely subtle, smells just like water with sugary alcohol. Barely any of that baccarat rogue dna… I don’t know if its the batch or if I just need to let this one sit for it to macerate, but right now i’m completely regretting this purchase.

It smells pretty strong right of the box but i’d say you don’t need to let this one sit. It smells sweet and cotton candy. The opening get’s smoother as you let it sit and macerate.

@@emanuelfernandez6930 Yes, Maceration helped a lot. I needed to let it sit for a whole month! It is exactly how it’s supposed to smell like. If you get this bottle and spray it and you hardly get any “cotton candy smell” or even none at all. Let it sit, it works perfectly well 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I know. The quality of fakes are really good. Just some minor inconsistencies that are too small you could miss them. The big tell is the smell. It just doesn’t smell full and you could tell it’s different.
