Great video! Question: does ASICS produce cheaper shoes for their outlet stores? I tried some pairs on there, and one was clearly out of spec, meaning had some defects. So wondering if they sell their production fallout at the outlet or even use cheaper material and maybe produce in different location compared to regular store?

I don't know whether Asics produces exclusively for outlets. But of course they release some models with more affordable price ranges (depending on the used materials). Asics gel and Amplifoam for instance cannot be in a similar price range.

Such a relief to see this post! I have been buying Asics kayano in Canada for well over 10 years, from regular retail outlets like Sport Chek and Sporting Life. When buying a new pair I typically have to check out three different pairs (usually how many they have in my size) and regularly found differences between the two shoes that might be overlooked by most people but not by me. This was enough to prevent me from buying the shoe in certain years. I remain dismayed that Asics quality control is so poor even for one of their top shoes. That said I have never found a shoe that fits me better.

Note the model number (T56SQ) and look it up on the online sites. This shoe is 5 years old so I understand that it's not that easy to come across it.

The replicas aren't sold in official and prestigious stores (i guess you are aware of that). Brands are increasing the authenticity elements but the replica producers are becoming more stophisticated too.
