(Real Vs. Fake): Van Cleef & Arpels Vintage Alhambra Bracelet! Let's Compare my VCA to a FAKE one.

The Van Cleef Vintage Alhambra Bracelet is an iconic staple and has been spotted on many of your favorite celebrities. Because of its high price point, there are loads of fakes out there. So I decided to purchase one and do a side by side comparison with my authentic bracelet.
Can you spot the differences ?
1. Color of the Stones are clearly off. The fake is Darker.
2. The length of the Fake is longer than the authentic.
3. The links in the fake are not as refined.
4. The 'gold' on the fake is more yellow.
5. The motifs on the fake are slightly larger.

Nice video. The dupe looks bigger to me. However, the agate does come in various shades of blue. My SA’s necklace is a dark blue, almost navy. When I was considering the bracelet, the one I looked at was an ocean blue/royal blue. I prefer authenticity, but it's not my business.

I was going too fast lol yes the dupe is bigger but I accidentally said the original 🥴 i do remember being told that no 2 stones will be identical but on the dupe it’s noticeably darker so idk. I definitely prefer the authentic as well ! But at $5K I completely understand why one would opt out 😫😫 thanks for watching ❤️

If you are buying pre owned, You can't go by length or number of links because some people add or remove links for their desired fit. It's easier to tell the fakes with the yellow gold. White gold is where ppl will run into the problem with the fakes.

Valid point with pre owned items. My guess would be that if there’s a chance I would sell my item, I wouldn’t make any alterations to the links as this can decrease my chances of finding a buyer. But still a very valid point ! Thanks for engaging ❤️

Ya I wanted to buy a black one And been checking o Etsy for some pre owns. But selling a 5000$ piece for 1200$ just raise so many concerns

Beautiful original! I can definitely tell the difference, however the dupe is decent. I also purchase dupes for travel where I don’t feel comfortable wearing my authentic pieces. Great video.

Hi! Thank you for this video! Btw - what are your thoughts on these Etsy retailers selling “VCA Alhambra” bracelets and necklaces? The bracelets and necklaces average around 1600-2k and they have some with the ‘diamonds’ for 3500-4k. They seem identical to the real and I wonder if they are, but black market.

The brand been here since the late 80s, it’s only getting bigger I don’t think it will go out of style but will have a price drop in the next 5-10 years

@ I think it will, Tiffany have been here for long time and isnt going anywhere however they are just not a thing in the vast majority of the community. Just a certain class. I was rocking their silver Tiffany bracelet and ppl were also selling dupes. Do they still sell those bracelets? Yes, are you seeing them all over the place? No! Same will happen with VC. They have other fine pieces that most of us cant afford.
