If youre the valby you'll very likely want to have the antifreeze solution mod on because the orbs that spawn will freeze you if they hit you. The mod doesn't need to be upgraded btw.

After Gluttony was nerfed, they also changed the impurities. They no longer freeze players when spawning, or any other instances.

Instead of going for the knees first, ALWAYS go for shoulders until their yellow. If you’re solo queuing, grapple the shoulders and STALL so you can complete the boss fight faster. A lot of times I was able to one phase the boss with Randoms.

One phasing depends on whether or not your team is good enough. You can definitely go for the shoulders if you're confident that your team will kill it. I prefer to go for the knockdown via the knee since it's rare that anyone at all focuses on the shoulder. I.e. if 3 people do shoulder and 1 person does knee, you can get a knockdown very quickly and then one of those can grapple the shoulder afterward. But if the team doesn't have the dps to match, your results won't be good. Hence why I just choose my method instead

@ the problem with going for the knees is that the boss is only downed for a couple of seconds. However if you focus the shoulders (in my matches people seem to go for them most of the time) you can hang onto them until the last second, which prevents the rage meter from increasing and then break it which downs the boss for A LOT longer than going for the knees allowing your team (which by this point in the game most people have built descendants) to do a lot of damage to the boss, either one phasing him or getting him really low. I noticed when not using this method you’ll barely get rid of his shields before he goes immune, whereas going for the shoulder and grappling them you can get the boss’s actual health down to half and if you have more dps characters on your team you can kill him or get really close to killing him before his first immune phase

It's easy to be maxed out. Literally just build the same stuff that I do, which is pretty much all possible just by unlocking the first 5 bosses. Also Enzo can be acquired in normal mode too and his transcendent mods can now be obtained by combining. So reaching this level is easier than before.

@ that’s not what I meant. Of course I’m maxed out I have ult viessa. What I meant is if you looked at it from a noob or casual perspective most aren’t maxed like this. For example in public interceptions no all are level 40 so they can’t pull their weight and die very quickly. This coming from someone who has to revive as well as dps the boss. So my question is how are they going to min max themselves if they’re lacking in kipper, gold, or experience? Us who have been here longer have had events to funnel us xp, kiper, as well as the necessary xp for this. It’s why I say most people aren’t maxed out. In fact I have two other descendants that I take with me to help others farm because I understand how badly the grind is when you lack the resources. I’m also working on an ultimate Ajax as he’s just all around descent. But drop rates are abysmal for him

@glezard212 um, ult viessa is super bad though. To be maxed out you need to work on proper descendants. Get Hailey and Enzo for bossing and bunny and freyna for farming. If someone is new they shouldn't be fighting gluttony. They should be farming ultimate bunny and freyna, and they need to work on Hailey and Enzo first. Gluttony and Deathstalker is after that.

Explain the reason for Valby and the mechanics of the people next to the things that release the spheres. If you have 3 people on your team that don't know what their doing, what method would you use to carry? This all assumes that the 3 people know to shoot the spheres im the direction of Gluttony

The reason for valby is the spiral tidal tidal wave transcendent mod. It changes her first abilities to shoot out a straight flying projectile that will drag the orbs that come out of the spawner along it's flight path usually into gluttony itself. While valby isn't needed she makes the fight a lot and easier and only one is needed to do the majority of the mechanics by herself. The only time the other teammates have to get involved is during the immune phase since there isn't anything else to do but the mechanics. I don't know if AR mentioned it but the purple orb that spawns will have to be explained to your team if you see them handling it wrong. You want to shoot the white and purple orbs close to gluttony and explode the purple orb near him but NOT let the purple orb touch him. If the purple orb touches him he will absorb it and it will increase the gauge on his arm increasing the likelihood of a wipe.

@@Idekbruh13 I've been in pugs where someone will shoot the purple orb as soon as it spawns. I then have to sit still long enough to tell them not to do that and what to actually do them immediately go back to doing the mechanics hoping that we don't wipe.

You guys don't have penalties. Just yell at them to watch realasianrobot and leave. You can move on to the next fight and they'll eventually figure out why they never get team mates to stick around 😁👍

@@Gnarly858 yea. It's the same for all colossi. As long as you're grappling on a boss, unless the purple bar is completely filled it won't fill anymore till you're off and your team if free to damage wherever they want.

It is absolutely true, I just never do it as I am usually one of the strongest dps. The one who grapples should be a weaker character or one who deals less overall dps. The main dps should never grapple and should instead focus on dealing as much as possible.

@@who8184 doesn't matter if you know what to do. You will still get a team of Bunnies that don't know what they are doing. I even tried launcher Gley and after 5 minutes they couldn't link the poles. I've accepted that I'll never be opening those patterns. I have a far easier time with Gluttony and Death Stalker.

If you have gley, use the rocket launcher to destroy all the fire balls while the boss is in the immune phase and usually your teammates will complete the objective. If you aim right at the top of Molten Fortress you’ll be able to destroy most if not all the balls before they can reach the pylon tower things making it way easier on your teammates. If you don’t have gley, use bunny to run around and speed run the mechanic. If you don’t have either of them built, complete and guard 2 pylon tower things and pray to god your teammates do the same thing.
