Here is my Forester research. Foresters plant 15 trees (usually 2-3 less) per day, and Lumberjacks cut down 10 (or less) logs per day. This allows for 3-4 loggers per Forester. Now it is time for Trees per Forester. Birch - 108 Pine - 144 Chestnut - 288 Maple - 336 Oak - 360 This will keep your Beavers consistently busy, which is what we want.

Technically depends on working hours. Seems like 2-3 per hour. I usually run 16-18hrs depending on wellness and that also effects movement speed too. Should plan for about 32 per day on 16hr standard.

well done turning this around. small thing you could have done: close the floodgate at the top to stop the overflowing of the megadam while building the gigadam. but its almost done now so doesn't matter anymore

I literally thought that’s what the plan was. Everyone was talking about how the dam would overflow and I was thinking it wouldn’t because he’d close the levee on top. I thought that was the whole reason he put it in 🤷♂️

Also there was a way to build the path to the forester at the top that would have cut way less tree saplings (closer to the stream). I'm wondering if RCE forgot that it's fine (and even preferable) to build stairs and paths below water.

Matt! Ill say it again but with this map and the intended settlement area (where you are currently established) youll actually be very surprised at the first Badtide. My mind was blown that i actually DID NOT lose everything around that small lake with 1 water source. It actually stayed below the 50% contamination level where the water starts killing crops and trees. So all my trees around the lake were left alive and safe throughout the entire Badtide. So DO NOT worry about the first Badtide and that water source lake as much as you are. If you are semi efficient at getting to the later resource productions and youll be able to surround that lake with "Contamination Barriers" before the second Badtide.(assuming your luck isnt horrid and you get them back to back.)

Loved the video @RealCivilEngineerGaming! Can't wait for the next video man! I remember when BaronvonGames first Played "Timberborn", he made a Small City by Stacking the Huts on top of each other and Connecting them up with Scaffolding so that the Beavers could get to their homes. I'm wondering if that is still Possible with all the Updates that have come since then? That is indeed a Giggity Giggity Dam you've got there man, but I think I can suggest one better. Operation Bowel Blockage: The Damming of the Poocano! Plan A is to just Build a Dam around the Top of the Poocano in the Hopes that it'll keep the Poocano from Flowing Freely. Plan B is going to Be more Expensive in both Time and Resources, but it's to Build an Elaborate Dam System along the Poocano side with 5 space wide Channels and a Series of Flood Gates at each Segment of the Slope inside the Channels. If Plan A is Successful, You can then Go ahead with Operation Habitat for Beaverkind, where you'll be able to then Isolate the Remaining Pockets of Poova along the River and up the Poocano's Slope using Dams and having the Clean Water flow around them. If not, then under Plan B, you'll need to use the Pockets in the Dry Season as Containment Zones for the Poocano's Flow, which in turn means Less water to flow around. Habitat for Beaverkind will mainly have you Cutting the River Off around the Areas where you'll still have Poo Pooling on the map. Take the River for instance, you'll need to build a Dam on either side of the Poo Pool there during the Dry Season so that when it's over, the Poo doesn't contaminate the Water. This, in turn, will allow you to have Access to the Other side of the map and be able to rehabilitate the Area. Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video man!

Just a couple pointers You cut off the 2nd tier of trees to the forester when you placed the up and over portion of the giga dam and also buy platforms Platforms are insanely helpful as they allow water through but can be built on, they can also be stacked which means you can place 2x2 sections in water and create a platform for your pumping stations to sit on and pump from the deepest parts of lakes and rivers, also it frees up the shore line for farming. You can make a grid system (I know you hate them but they work here!) which allows for multiple pumping stations one after the other. I made my own giga dam on a map, ended up storing water about 8 blocks deep and had a grid with 20 pumping stations drawing from it, it also powered my hydro mechanical section of the damn and provided power to my industrial area
