Michelle and Fabian aren’t present at this time. 5:07 p.m.: Michelle & Fabian return to the apartment. 6:05 p.m.: Victoria goes to gas station with Fabian. 6:15 to 6:20 p.m.: Victoria and Fabian return to the apartment. 6:30 p.m.: Michelle & Fabian leave and go to Paradise Hills. 7:02 p.m.: Michelle & Fabian return to the apartment. 7:05 p.m.: Victoria is seen alive by neighbors. 7:06 p.m.: Michelle and Fabian leave again. 7:38 p.m.: Michelle and Fabian are near Rio Bravo Boulevard and Coors Boulevard. 7:59 p.m.: Michelle and Fabian are seen near Five Points and Bridge Boulevard. 8:47 p.m.: Michelle and Fabian arrive at the apartment. 8:48 p.m.: Eyewitnesses say Victoria’s body is seen being carried outside the apartment.[2][a] Torrez said this proves Martens and Gonzales were not present when the murder and rape occurred.[3] Subsequently, Torrez announced nine of the charges against Fabian Gonzales including second-degree murder and criminal sexual penetration were dropped.[2] Gonzales faced a series of charges including child abuse resulting in death and tampering with evidence of which he was found guilty.[2][3] Michelle Martens is believed to have falsely confessed to actively participating in the murder.[2] Martens was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

I’m a school counselor and this is my biggest fear…I know some of my students don’t have the perfect lives but it scares me to think one of them, or more, go home to a house of terror. The one time a student came forward, the judge wouldn’t listen to anything she said and made her still visit dad. Thankfully, that man OD’d a year later so she was free from him. I just was talking to my husband about how they could keep their composure after hearing her admit to all that. I do not have the restraint, I would have been over that table once she confessed to her being assaulted!! I literally just about beat the crap out of druggie neighbor for his dog biting my 20yr old. After us telling him day after day his dog was going to bite someone. My 6'2 280lb brother had to pull my 5ft 120lbs off of him! I couldn't imagine if I walked in on someone hurting not just my babies but any child!! 12yrs is and insult to Victoria!! Her shocked face at the fact she was going to jail was nuts!

I can not imagine the pain that little girl felt every time a man violated her body. The fear in her heart, mind, and body of the woman who was supposed to protect her, giving her away to men. As someone who’s been interested in psychology and true crime for the last 25 years, I’ve learned about some deeply disturbing crimes and the darkest depths of human depravity. This case is, by far, one of the worst that I have ever encountered.. There are people who’ve survived unimaginable abuse and trauma and yet they would never dream of inflicting such pain and suffering upon another human being. Neither the mother interviewed here, nor her boyfriend, were at home during the murder. An unknown man's DNA was found on the girl. The boyfriend's sister was at home and probably knows more than she's telling (which is why she recieved the longest sentence). There is no evidence that the mother ever pimped her daughter out for sex, in fact POF allowed police to trawl her accounts and nothing was found.

The justice system is a joke... I'm in Europe, but I got 14 months in prison for moving away from my then 4 year old son's drugdealing, abusive father (who hadn't met him in over a year, and wasn't involved at all). Then, they granted sole custody to him once I was arrested. Despite me providing past police reports, screenshots, and text messages detailing his abusive behavior, as well as his involvement in drugs. He only wanted my boy after he found out he wouldn't be granted a prolongation of his residency unless he could prove he had part in the custody regularly. He went to cry to the CPS claiming I was withholding my son from him, and that I was abusive (claimed I regularly abused my son and on top of it that I stabbed my ex with a knife! Despite no police report or hospital records, not to mention the absurdity of the statement, they just swallowed it). Despite me showing them that I had literally begged him 100 times to stay in touch with his child through the years, and even paid him to come visit. My son developed an extreme separation anxiety due to this, and would always ask me over and over if I'll ever leave him too. I kept reassuring him that I i never would. Crying as I'm typing this. I'm constantly wondering what he's thinking, how abandoned he must feel, after me always reassuring him I'd never leave his side - and then I was gone. I haven't seen my boy in almost 2 years... The retrial is due in a few months. I hope the original sentence is overturned and I'm finally reunited with my son. Wish me luck guys.
