I do a very similar thing with my properties, it allows me to help local students and young professionals while making a profit. I also do household community events which helps the households comingle and feel more like friends instead of strangers in a house(helps promote active communication and listen to diffuse potential situations)

I'm with Ashley! I love this idea but it would never work for me.... I would be hiding in my room wishing for privacy every moment. 😅😅

Great analogy! Climbing toward retirement takes effort, but the financial freedom at the top is worth it.

how do you deal with evictions in a landlord non-friendly state using the co-living strategy? New York, for example?
@millermcswainКүн бұрын
At least in my state, evictions are no different than in a traditional rental. In fact, they are a bit easier since you have the peer pressure from the other house mates. Here, you have to post a notice on the door of the house, so all of the other residents would see it and know what is going on.

Are people "cracking the code" in high cost of living areas or are they buying 5 BR homes for $17?
@millermcswainКүн бұрын
Are average purchase price is ~$520k. So I'd think that is a bit above the average and considered "high cost"
