REALISTIC DX-160 Update

After replacing every electrolytic capacitor inside this receiver, installed new lighting and giving it a good bubble bath...i think the DX-160 is working pretty good right now.

Very nice. A few years ago I acquired a very nice DX-160 with new caps and calibrated, to replace the one I sold back in the late 70s. It is a very fine radio indeed.

Well done Darrell. These receivers are pretty common to find and a great way for people to get into shortwave listening. I have my Realistic DX 100 in the shed and I only use the stock telescopic antenna and it has really good ears. I can hear everything that my Yaesu FRG7700 can hear pretty much.

How do you add a dc power cord to this, anyway you could do a video on it, would like to hook up in vehicle, i cant find any info on where or how to hook a cord up but it has a hole to add one, thankyou in advance for any info, great channel, long time sub
