BEAMNG NEWS episode 135 There have been a lot of high-speed crashes recently, and the majority of them happened in one country - Italy. It is no mystery why they happened: the country has been facing a giant virus epidemy for a few weeks now, which causes mass panic on the streets, and this always leads to more crashes! What's more, there are hardly any cars on the streets there, because everyone prefers to stay home in safety, and with empty roads, some drivers (mainly dummies) decide to ignore the rules of road safety! What makes the situation even worse is the lack of Polizia patrols on the streets that would catch speeding drivers - all the officers are busy fighting the plague! In short, the epidemy has massively decreased the road safety in Italy. But what exactly is the disease they are dealing with, you may ask? You might have not heard of it, as it hasn't reached our country yet - President George Crashington made sure all plane flights from Italy to BeamNG Land get cancelled in advance. Unlike the presidents of other countries, he sets safety of the citzens as his priority (except maybe for road safety). The virus is most likely an ancient disease that survived hundreds of years in an isolated place - pretty much like the disease from Egyptian pyramids that suddenly struck the archeologists who opened the ancient tombs. These people got deadly sick for unexplained (at the time) reason, which seriously scared everyone - they thought they were dealing with the mummy's curse! This virus probably survived in some small military base from the Big War, which could have been accidentally opened by a curious dummy, and that's what the unofficial name of the disease comes from: "The Dummy's Curse"! What exactly does it do? Well, dummies and cars are safe, as it doesn't affect them at all. With humans, the situation is more serious - while it's not that deadly, it can make you seriously sick and damage your health a lot! The symptoms are really similar to common cold at first, which makes it hard to detect; then they slowly start getting similar to effects of some biological weapons from the Big War! The thing that makes it especially dangerous is the fact that it spreads really fast, and takes long for the symptoms to show up, so you might not notice that you have it at first and accidentally infect other people! It can't be stopped easily, but you can reduce the chances of getting it the same way as similar diseases have been dealt with for hundreds of years: wash your hands (or even the whole body) more than once a day, especially every time you come back home from outside; avoid unneccessary contact with people; and the most important, don't overreact! Hygiene is the priority, but buying all the soap and toilet paper from your local supermarket is a bit too far, you need to leave some for other people! And if you are a dummy or a car, you have nothing to worry about, just ignore the epidemy and try to live your normal life. Now that you know all you needed to know about the virus, let's talk about how it affected the daily life in Italy (the current epicenter of the disease). While that country is mostly inhabited by dummies just like BeamNG Land, it has a much higher percentage of humans in the general population (about 30%). Because of this, the virus spreads much faster there, and causes much more chaos! To stop it, all public events had to be cancelled, and human schools were closed (dummy schools are still functional, but they aren't suitable for humans as they teach completely different things). Polizia and Carabinieri are getting reports from the National Health Center about every single confirmed case, and they have to make sure that no infected human leaves his home or a hospital! There is no working cure for the disease, and there most likely won't be one for months, so until then just the spreading of it can be reduced. This is why everyone is reminded on the TV every day to wash hands and stay home. Meanwhile, dummies need to replace humans who had to leave their jobs for now, and usually they aren't the best at human jobs! There have been many disasters in factories and other work places. Fortunately dummies aren't allowed to work at human hospitals, that would only make the disease more deadly! Overall, Italy is not the best place to live in currently. Luckily, with our President's effort to keep "The Dummy's Curse" out of our country, we can be almost certain that we won't have to deal with the same problem!

Your vids are awesome and I love what you do, and I'm happy for you. So I'm not trying to be a dick when I say this, but I'm really not a fan of the first person view crashes. I feel like I miss so much of the action and I can't tell how the vehicles are physically reacting to each other, which kinda bums me out. Just my two cents. It doesn't ruin the videos for me or anything, and I'll still watch because I find them very entertaining and well done.

On the other hand, first person views make the clip look more realistic, making it more interesting for quite a few people!
