I honestly don't know how easy or hard it is for the devs to make airbags in this game. On the other hand, though, judging by the fact we already have a soft top in the Ibishu Hopper, I guess airbags can also be done! 🤔 One more thing: on this week's Teaser Tuesday, the BeamNG Dev Team showed us a new car being about to enter BeamNG in the next update, with a funny twist! You just have to increase the exposure of the picture! 😜

Older cars didn't crumple as much as that burnside did, beamng's vehicles aren't true to life of course, but older cars were known to break walls before breaking the chassis, and also for cracking your skull like an egg.

Not really true at low speeds like 10-15mph that was sort of true but not at speeds of 30+mph.

@@armymatt83 Beamng isn't real life, my grandpa's really old chevy hit 2 walls both at highway speeds at the time (50 mph where I live) and it only crumpled the front, without killing him (although he suffered injury) and the car was repaired not long after, then he sold it later on. Of course, the glass shattered, causing deep injuries, the engine had to be deeply repaired aswell, old cars are by no means safe, but they are sure tough and built to last.

@@armymatt83 Old chevies? I have seen other car brands get wrecked too, but some specific models for the chevies were exceptionally tough IMO. It was at highway speed of the time, (he of course wouldn't tell me the exact speed) but it's probably 50 mph since that's highway speeds at the time over here, he said he hit a concrete block wall of an under construction building and smashed through it, so it was without a roof and with barely and ground, of course he wouldn't know the details like what angle, the exact speed after braking last second, or any real details really, I just know he hit a concrete wall, at highway speed, using a car that is probably still being driven around by it's new owner hopefully.

Fun fact: Trucks doesnt require airbags due to the vehicle’s large mass and the slower deceleration, the energy that the truck would receive in a collision is typically a smaller amount than the energy that the other vehicle that is hit.
