No matter what you find, the views are always worth watching. Is that Catalina Island 🏝️ in the distance? My late husband and I took a boat from Balboa Island to Catalina back in the late ‘70s while on vacation and this brought back many happy memories. 😢🥰

It was fairly low.... but wow, I walked the surf for a long time and got barely nothing out of it. I will say two things. I have had my best gold find ever in the surf there and I think everyone detects the surf at this location. During this time of year things are scarce. But did not stop me from trying. I think I got a penny and a piece of trash down in the surf this time... crazy

Nice job for David on the ring The good old surfer special tungsten. That piece of jewelry you found at the end was also pretty nice. Huntington Beach has been brutal but they're still targets out there just got to find them. Thanks for sharing all your finds with us

I always use factory settings. I have been changing the mode and trying different ones. There are several beach modes and I have not found one I am in love with yet. Here in our sand I find the wet surf mode is kinda jumpy and makes a lot of noise. I actually like to hunt in All Terrain mode either fast or low conductor even at the beach.

whatd happen when you run detector at a stronger depth garrett ace 250 if I run at full strength I find stuff deeper that you guys missed.

I turn it up to max and back it down to a stable level. If I run the Manticore maxed out it gets jumpy especially near the surf. I find 20-22 is just right for me.

@@DigginSoCal I find stuff 19 inches in sand. I find stuff in shoreline I know how to use Garrett 250. Lots of beeps the solid signal I notice. Annoying all the beeps in the earphones.the dimes are blue green been there sometime in water and sand salt.
