that's a proper range test. thanks for the info so you have the 60V29Ah battery (that gives 1.74 kWh). therefore the consumption is approximately 3.5kWh/100km. nice to know

Thanks. Was fun to do this test. Yea that was the battery this one has.

I always thought my electric moped (other brand, not a NIU) was very efficient, because I hade no problem reaching 55 km in decent weather at full speed at 28 Ah, 60 V (1680 Wh). According to the label of the battery it's 60 V 28 Ah, but when I recently opened it I realized that it's actually one extra cell i series and one extra in parallel, that is 17 × 11 (I assumed 16 × 10) Samsung 29E cells, which adds up to 31 Ah, or 1945 Wh (min 2,75 × 11 = 30,25 Ah, typ 2,85 × 11 = 31,35 Ah or 2,85 × 11 × 3,65 × 17 = 1945 Wh). So with that in mind I realize that its effiency is just about the same as for most other electric mopeds.

My NIU M+ SPORT have 48 V, 31 Ah, 1488 Wh battery. Nominal power 1200 W. With high speed, maybe 40 - 50 km and with half speed 60 - 70 km. Calculator gave half of energy consumption, if speed reduced 45 to 35 km/h.

Yea, I charge mine overnight so its not really a problem for me. And I only have to do it once or twice every week I'm using it. But I can understand that faster charging would be nice if riding longer distances and need to charge every day.

How much kilometerd did you have on the counter when you started with this test? Because that also has an impact on the batteryforce
@johnmelnik2 жыл бұрын
Do you have custom controller or does the limiter allow higher speeds than 45km/h?
@captainflatspot2 жыл бұрын
I'm having stock controller. It allows it to go between 48-50km/h full throttle. And sadly it autobrakes going downhill and speed goes over that. Maybe you can get it to roll in 55 if you let go of the throttle.

Hello. Maybe the weather got warmer during the day and therefore it gets more power from the battery. If its cold the battery will perform worse.

I'm considering getting one of these.. What would you estimate the range to be at constant full speed? I have a 36km mostly flat round trip on country roads that I would like to be able to ride at constant full speed 😊

In this video I got 51km in mode 3 (the fastest). I think at Winter the range would be about 40km depending on how cold it is.
