My dad gave me his STA-2080 receiver around 20 years ago. I like the 2 phono options and 3 tone adjustments. Unit has remained reliable at 40 years of use. It will be an expensive fix when it finally quits working. Not many people who will work on vintage electronics anymore, so they kinda name their price.

I own one of these. Picked it up in great condition and put a nominal amount of restoration work into it and it sings effortlessly. The tuner is especially nice. Always draws attention and compliments from company. If you can get one of these, do so. Tremendously underrated piece of vintage, or "veteran" gear.
