You're not wrong about houses in the U.S. have porches like that. My grandma had one and I remember going out there in the evenings and sitting on the porch swing. The first CC I ever downloaded for the game (before the greenhouse kit) was some screen windows to use in my personal gameplay. I've been wanting a way to make a porch like this for a while and I'm glad we finally have one in the game itself. I think screened-in porches are more common in the Southern U.S. (where I'm from) than up north, but they are a staple.

Oh my lord, such a gorgeous build! I love the little story-telling aspect of each rooms and I can imagine the people who live there. It reminds me of a game called "what's left of edith finch". The centerpiece of that game is their wonky family house with a story within each room that represents their owner. It would be amazing if you make a full family of 8 with granny, uncle, etc and build a detailed family home that represents their story. Please please please I love your builds :)))

This is such a beautiful build. I was hoping you could explain the terrain piece again. I always struggle with terrain manipulation and placing stairs. Whenever I try to place stairs, the landing always go below the terrain. Like I try to do maybe two to three sets of stairs leading from the home to the sidewalk or whatever and the last set will always end below the sidewalk. So like my sims would have to walk down into the stairs 😂 I then just flatten the terrain and won’t do it because I can’t figure it out.

I've been doing builds recently where I've been raising the ground level and I don't like how you can't use terrain paint on the sections that change color when you lift them. Most of these have been like outdoor type builds, not residential, so it's not like I can hide it with exterior decorating.

I don't mind the tree overhanging the lot so much as hating the the way you can't edit something outside of the lot. If you have a bonsai bush on the edge of a lot and convert it to decorative, sometimes it spawns outside of the lot and there is nothing you can do to remove it. So now any time I convert a bonsai shrub I save the game before hand in case it spawns somewhere stupid... The bugs and flaws in this game...
