There is progress wheel on the drying meat, it will never dry due to rain if left outside Hold spear by the very end and hunt crabs and other big fish in the river nearby bu running and thrusting (not throwing)

My problem with throwing in VR is it's like the tracking on the quest 2 just gets lost if I throw like I would irl. I have to look at the thing I'm throwig from the time I draw back to the time I let go, or it just plops to the ground. But it's hard to aim when you're looking the the thing next to your head that you're getting ready to throw.

Yeah, it’s definitely the main disadvantage to inside out tracking. Never had that issue when I used base stations with my vive

Yeah throwing with the Index is not much better I must admit. Maybe its just me but if I throw like in RL in almost all games it smashes whatever I was throwing to the ground.

When holding the spear over you head press the trigger on the button holding it it comes up with an aiming line and when you throw it goes way farther and more accuate. Also when the animals run they leave a blood trail and eventully dies from the spear wound

To make the bone splints (the thing I assume you were talking about at the end) you need to cut up a bone, no crafting table required. Hope this helps!

sneak up on animals and try to shoot them in the head with a bow to one shot them also with some meats you can make stews and soups just fill a bowl with water and meat and boil it over fire (it should give more stuff) and even bones work for it too (it has to be a full bone not a bone knife)

@@Garzoku also another tip so you dont struggle gathering the meat too much is make armor i forgot how to but i think for leaf armor it is 1 banana leaf and 2 rope?? the armor makes caimans and jaguars attacks damage the armor rather than yourself but they will break eventually

You know the wounded animal is leaving a blood trail? I just follow the trail. I didn’t realise the music was a clue. Snails are a good source of small amounts of protein

Lol yeah I couldn’t find a trail of any sort in those leaves. Shooting them in the head was really the only way I could find the kill.

In my experience, the best survival games are the ones so intricate that they require multiple restarts just to figure out how it all works. Like Rimworld, or Oxygen Not Included. Green Hell is like that. I love it. But it's not for everyone.
