Ooh wee, you remember I told you I thought I wanted to do MB unit?? Well I tried it for 3 months and sadly it just didn’t work for me and my personality 😔 I’m not catty, petty, messy so maybe that’s why. The unit I was on was not giving “Welcome New Grad RN! We’re happy to have you!” So I got the hell on. So, after much consideration, I went back to what I know (what I did as an LPN) which is exactly what you mentioned: behavioral health RN and corrections RN were my specialities! I now have an offer for both areas, tryna decide which one to take. We have bad nights & good days at times. The beauty of nursing is the FLEXIBILITY of the field! Do you, Boo! 💕💪🏽👩🏽⚕️🩺✨❤️

yes Mother/ baby is for the birds!!! omg working with a bunch of female is messy af lol....wow I'm too scared them patient will beat my a** lol...Congrats keep me posted. did you start off as day shift or night shift? because the day shift coworkers are petty and have no life. Night shift is more chill because we all sleepy lol. thats the only good thing flexibility lol.

@@Tammiexo So I started off in day shift, and wasn’t offered nights. My spirit just kept speaking to me and after more than a few fetal demises I was DONE. It was too heartbreaking. I had to move on and do what was comfortable for my own well being. Not knocking the unit, we all know it’s where life happens and is brought into the world, it’s beautiful. But I don’t think acute care is for me at this stage of nursing. 🤷🏽♀️ I just let God guide me. I’ll keep you posted, if you wanna follow my crazy life I just started posting or whatever on YT. You will not be hurt by those patients in psych or corrections! They train you how to deal with the situation and scenarios and in corrections you always have the guards 24/7 with you. You never alone with inmates. Psych isn’t bad at all, less liability for your license in both specialities.

I have been fighting with myself about where I want to buy my first home at (currently in GA) and when I attended RN school in South FL, I fell in love with the state! Ima beach girl cuz I’m from the SF Bay Area 🌉 Do you have any tips or advice on areas in FL to buy homes? Hoping to buy in the next year-year in a half. Thanks in advance, Tammie!

I could SO relate to this. The only thing I will say is that you might want to be careful if you complain about patients online. That could get to the higher-ups and you could get in some hot water. But I appreciated the honesty!
