Man...getting married at Ikoyi marriage registry was an experience! They charge a fee for everything...including using the bathroom! I fussed them out so bad...between the price gouging & the constant requests for tips....I lost it! You charging to use the bathroom & you don't even tissue paper for afterwards! I was so glad when we were finally married & done with that place! Talk about stressful😖😖😖

I heard this place was a nightmare. We will have our parents there and more and I don't think they can be waiting outside like that for us when they are all in their 60's! It's too much ooo! I'm a African diasporan so I am trying to prepare myself as much as possible for the drama...I think I heard everything clearly in this video. Let's see: So, I got to remind bae to register at least 7 days before our date, pay extra for our specific date if not given, parking is crazy and not free, (may need a driver to drop us close and go), stop drinking liquids 7pm day before so we won't have to pee the next day while we are waiting and waiting, remember swearing-in the day before, wear comfortable shoes, bring portable fan, bring cash for bathroom (other fees) and toilet paper, get a number outside before you go inside, stay close at hotel, eat close after, and figure out what to do with your elderly witnesses while waiting.. This is too much already OOOOOO

I did trad and reception after my court wedding, we were on a budget too but it turned out very expensive, an advise I’d give to you is to get an event planner, I also did, get one and let your budget known to him/her. Goodluck!
