When you cross your 30s your dental problems significantly increase then everyone has to care, i know someone who was planning to live in canada till a year but is coming in a month because of the severe dental pain. Tooth pain is the worst kind of pain in the world which won’t let you sleep. Also if you have no teeth, how will you eat? God forbid if its a front tooth, how would you smile? Dentistry is highly underrated profession in india

Yeah but you have to study maths, computer, logical reasoning and stuff to crack CAT like exams for those degrees. You need insane dedication to study these non medical subjects especially during busy internship schedule.

Which college you are opting for? If you go in for private then you have to work really hard and try to get a govt JR ship or govt MDS after UG.. in govt hospitals you get a stipend of 50-90k but seats are limited..

If the private college has good reputation and has good patient flow then only go for it. Visit the college first before taking admission. Otherwise go for Bams

You are saying the opposite thing! I wonder how did you arrive at this conclusion.. you can get any job you want if you have the right contacts and if you give an entrance and you crack it then also no one will ask your college. But if you open a clinic, the day you passout and want to work under someone for experience, most people would prefer a government college graduate and some straight up reject the private graduates if your college has the reputation of having no patients.. a govt graduate is given more work and private graduates usually only assist the dentists for the first 1-2 years in the clinics because the private practitioner knows the reputation of the college… if you open your practice, most patients will ask you where you graduated from.. i have worked in private hospitals and 99% people asked me where I graduated from and is it a govt college or not.. they feel happy if it’s a good college they know about.. regardless a private college graduate an also succeed but he will have to be ready to double his hardwork during and after BDS. It’s not ultimately about college but you, so even if you want to choose a private college, go for a reputed one even if it’s a bit costly and most importantly go see for yourself if there are actual patients there or not

It’s not worthless just the saturation is alot.. instead of focusing on being better dentists and sharpening their work, people are just cribbing and cribbing about work and doing degrees thinking it might get them a job and ultimately when they realize the truth its too late and they can’t even perform basic dental procedures now because they have dedicated their 3 years to a specialty..
