Gfriend is probably the least group in their generation to disband. Source Music locked them as only kpop idols and didn't allowed them to branch out so they are chained. I'm confident in saying this that they will be the only left complete after 10 years. Twice will lose members because of the risk of having international members same with BP. Red Velvet and Mamamoo, some of their members have a solid career solo namely Irene, Joy and Hwasaso this members doesn't need theit group to get going in the industry also it's SM this company just fcks everything up with their old groups.

I mean you can see Soumu allowing them to venture into acting, solo ost, MC. Sowon herself is a successful mc, even gaining Beauty Icon award for her engagement in beauty shows. The vocal line, Yuju, Eunha and Umji focuses more on being producer and lyricist. SinB in showcasing her dance skills. Even co-choreograph some dance move herself apart from being a clothing brand model. Yerin is more towards variety shows, but MCing is part of it as well. They did branch out. Did very well in their respective venture.

Like for example Red Velvet had to basically adjust their schedule just for Joy to be in their comebacks. BlackPink had to adjust for Jennie's Solo release. All of that. They were only allowed to do this things in their off time. For example Yerin had to close her mukbang show because it was affecting her practice with the group so much.
