Who's the hater? I never heard of them and I'm Korean. Most Koreans regardless of gender are at least fond of Gfriend. They are one of those groups that have very few haters. I'd say less than Twice, Black Pink, Red Velvet for sure.

Only a few groups from Big 3 companies or Mnet reality shows are above them, aside from that there are plenty of girl groups who are less popular & successful than Gfriend in the Kpop industry. And before IZ*ONE and Itzy came along Gfriend was the 4th most popular girl group after Twice, Blackpink & Red Velvet for a few years. They've done very well.
