Absolutely right. Reality is mind. It's exclusively a mental event in consciousness. The mind as proposer and disposer and perceiver. No mind no so called reality. Exclusively mind's count of itself.

Great that. I’ve read a few of Bernie’s books. What’s important to me is or are the consequences of corrective analytical idealism - as in how should its understanding influence people in their everyday lives? I think it’s clear we’re drowning in a materialistic megastorm - which is actively perpetrated by interested actors (sic Globalists). Can we (we who get idealism - as opposed to tempting escapist solipsism) find ways to get out of this struggle with ‘evil’ materialists - transcend it/them and establish an authentic civilisation returning us to original natural harmony?

Kudos to you, Matt, for allowing Bernardo to speak uninterrupted. Bernardo's command of ontological idealism and the philosophy of mind is unmatched.

i can match it ... with a leprechaun that created everything 5 seconds ago , 6 seconds ago , 7 seconds ago i got INFINITELY better ... infinite answers to match THIS crap , just ... SAYING something outloud ... doesn't all of a sudden ... make it real , that's his entire argument , no precedent , no evidence , just nonsense that DOES NOT COMPORT WITH REALITY , maybe you should FINALLY look up what we mean by the words '' composite division fallacy '' , maybe YOU can figure them out , because Bernard definitely NEVER DID ... he just doesn't GET that fallacy , that THAT is what he's doing and ALL he's BEEN doing with all his ''arguments''

So if the visible world is a manifestation of observation, does that lead us to one meta conciseness, what some call God?

If there is a representation, then there must be something that is represented. So there is in any case a kind of outside world.There may be surprising preconditions that we cannot look beyond or maybe not. But that doesn't matter at all. This automatically means that the present representation is identical to the objectively given outside world . Therefore, we are justified in calling the present one realistic.

If a dissociation in MAL led to an organism as complex as a cell capable of reproducing itself, one wonders if this was a completely random event, or if it follows some sort of inherited pattern in MAL itself. What makes anything go against entropy at all?
@BrettRosenfeld
@BrettRosenfeld Ай бұрын
Randomness is an epistemic limitation. There’s no such thing as randomness in reality. It’s just the limit of our ability to see the chain of causation.
@goran586

@@BrettRosenfeld "Random" may not have been the right choice of words on my part. What I meant was that a specific event lacks an underlying conscious plan, while still following an inherent pattern.

If brain does not cause consciousness, it just is a gateway for consciousness, then why another structure similar to brain, made of organic or inorganic materials, cannot be a gateway in the same manner?
@valuemastery
@valuemastery 19 күн бұрын
If a brain is not conscious, that does not mean it is a gateway to consciousness. This idea would assume that there are two different things existing, namely brains and consciousness, in order for one being a gateway to the other. However, under analytical idealism, there is only consciousnes. The brain is just an appearance of consciousness, as viewed from the outside.
