Relax my friend. I would say everyone should involve in some art appreciation like music, literature, any performing art, ...etc.,. If you able to involve into such thing as a creator don't leave it for your materialistic deeds. In other words what I am saying is developing a pasion around any thing deeply will give you tremendous contribution to your life quality. Develop a quest for something. What I am asking you is find one thing which you would do that with much pleasure even if you don't get any materialistic benefits like money, reputation, power. As in this video said, money is important, growth is important and so the personal/ passionate quest for something is important. On seeing some cv, resumes of people especially freshers Hobby is the word which we gave silly meaning to that word . Hobby is not just a thing to kill the time but it is something that make you live for it. As you are a young person, I suggest you to take road trip with minimum budget. Explore our country. Journal it in diaries. Experience the life. Learn new skills like gardening, cooking. Earning is not only the life. Don't give more importance to earning/growth than it deserves

Once Tamil writer told that one of the reason for reading literature is to keep the innocence in your heart, to keep the inner child alive you. Also if you observe any genius they are actually playing like a child in their field. Do whatever to keep your inner child alive

Sir.. Please also make one about the core driver for all these.... The chairman and the major share holders luxury life which they get from the yearly net profit, only some of which they retain. So if net profit of a company is 100 crore, these people take 80 crore and keep in their bank. Now ceo had to some how... By hook or crook... Make those 100 crores... And they all want 20 to 50 percent growth every year... All of this translates into strategies and eventually common people sacrifice their time and family for that 20 perecent. In return most will get max 5 percent increment and one team party.

@@IrkyMan Thank you, yes this is the only real possible solution. I am aware but took lots of time to identify, so thank you for sharing. But still, my point is that - if we people keep allowing the above (what I said), nothing will change.... in us,UK apart from at least some laws, the social conventions are more in favor of employees compared to India. So, I was pointing towards that whole social construct. Also, many of us are not even aware how this gets played out. Hence I requested him to share that - because once people know there can be strong resistance other people thinking such things are rumors.

Yes.Getting too caught up with promotions, competition with others etc makes us lose balance of other important areas of life. And we may forget why we haven chosen a particular work in the first place. Like the satisfaction of being able to solve challenging problems and becoming better than ourselves in a disciplined manner.

I have enough money and I don't want to constantly chase promotions and salary hike but this is not sustainable in corporate world. As your experience grows, u are expected to deliver more. There are hardly any jobs out there which can offer work life balance for a professional who has more than 15 years experience. So u r dragged into this corporate rat race even if you don't intend to.

Anand. Incidentally I have long ago stopped single-minded thoughts about promotions, positions and raise... Yet i am always in a work - remote work - homework - late night work - phonework - back to work loop... With such an overwhelming work demand, neglecting other interests & necessities is a given ... Apparently I'm running not to grow, but to stay with a positive image, positive outlook & genuinely respectable as long as i stay .. I don't know if I'm in a rat race, but i believe I have chosen to run on a treadmill, without bothering about the consequences as long as i don't step down Note: Ofcourse you get weary at some point of time on the treadmill.... burnt out 😊

Sir I am huge fan of yours. Watch regular videos. My query is my boss is non technical person. We have a strong tech team and I am a part of it. My boss never like to hear NO. Whoever has said NO and tried to give the correct reasoning and technical estimates have been fired on the same day. That includes my technical lead of very strong caliber. So we all say yes to what technical estimates he decides thinking he is the only talented person in the world. There is no proper reachability to boss's boss to convey as a team. What is the thing you suggest we team members we should do
