Reality of Mansur Al-Hallaj / Anal Haq | Mufti Abu Layth | Malm 2021

The Sufi, Al Hillaj Mansoor was once asked, "What is the height of Sufism? What is the highest experience in Sufism"
Mansoor replied, "Come tomorrow and you will see for yourself."
"See? See what? Why can't you give me the answer in words right now?"
Mansoor laughed and said, "Whatever can be described in words is not Sufism. Come tomorrow and see for yourself."
The next day when the man reached Mansoor's dwelling to 'see' his reply, what does he see there? Mansoor had been arrested: he was tied with a rope and was being dragged. People said he was going to be executed. Why? Because Mansoor kept repeating, "An-al-Haq'. An-al-Haq means: I am the One; I am God. This is irreverence! This is blasphemy! A profusely bleeding Mansoor was being stoned. And Mansoor? Well! He was laughing! In the crowd of spectators, Mansoor's eyes recognized the person who had questioned him and he shouted, "See, this is the height of Sufism."
The man who had asked the question was upset because when Mansoor looked at him, the crowd started looking at him. He immediately stepped back and merged with the crowd for fear of being recognized and killed.
But Mansoor kept on laughing. The scaffolding on which Mansoor was made to stand was drenched with his blood. People were still throwing stones at him but he did not stop laughing, The executioner raised his sword, and the head rolling down the steps called out, 'An-al-Haq! Even after the beheading, the sound of An-al-Haq echoed. This is the highest experience where death becomes a celebration.
Why was Mansoor laughing? He was laughing because he knew that the one these people were trying to kill was not his real self.
The executioner's sword cannot reach the real 'me'. What a game these mortal beings are playing! They are trying to kill 'me', but the sharp-edged sword that can touch 'me' or even wound 'me' has not yet been made. If at all, they will kill this body. By destroying this perishable body, these fools think that they can kill 'me'!"
That is why Mansoor was laughing. The ecstasy in Mansoor's laughter is the height of Sufism.

Anal haqq..means i am the truth. Haqq is one of the names of Allah. He was trying to be mystical to confront the rulers although not going so far as to give clear evidence that may push him outside the fold of islam.

An-al-haq is hindu concept of "Ahm-Brahmasmi" (I am Brahma). If Mansur was hindu saint in India he would be revered along likes of famous bhakti saints of Medieval India. Islam's narrow mindedness could never understand dept of Bhakti be it towards Allah or Vishnu/Shiva.

In Islamic point of view, Allah (The Creator) and Human (The creation) is separate entity hence cannot be mixed. This is the fundamental difference between the monotheism and polytheism. In hinduism , in vedanta we called this situation is " Aham Brhamasmi " i.e. I'm God. It comes after years of years yogic practice , supreme consciousness . Mansoor learned these from vedic yogic in several years & reached to that ultimate peace.
