@admalik6345 Jahil in Arabic is "ignorant" or can say a person with lack of knowledge. Quranic reference Surah Al-An'am (54) verse 54: أَنَّهُ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوءًا بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِن بَعْدِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُ غَفُورٌ‌ رَّ‌حِيمٌ It means: One of you who happens to have done something bad by having acted ignorantly, then repents after that and corrects his conduct, then Allah Almighty is most forgiving, He will forgive him his sins; and He is very merciful, so forgiveness alone will not be considered enough, for he will be blessed with rewards also. From the word, " جهَالَةٍ " (Jahalah; literally: ignorance, used in the sense of acting ignorantly) Is k ilawa surah Al-Ma'idah aur surah Al-Furqan mein bhi references hein aap check ker saktay hein. Ab aap sey sawal hai k what do you think Pakistan k kitnay mard aur kitni aurtein deen k ilm mein Jahil hein?

Thank you, Nasir Baig Sahib for a very good analysis of the issue of Sahil Adeem's arrogant behaviour towards a young girl in Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar's program. I am a journalist, lives in Denmark and working with human rights and Islamophobia in Europe and internationally. It was by chance that I came across two videos. One where Mr. Sahil Adeem and Mr. Khalil-ul-Rehman Qamar were discussing the human rights situation in Pakistan in Mr. Qamar’s own program. In the second video, in Mr. Orya Maqbool Jan’s own program, Mr. Adeem and Mr. Jan were discussing various issues, like two state formula to solve Palestine-Israel problem, Mr. Imran Khan’s position on the Palestine and democracy in Pakistan and why Mr. Adeem used the word Jahil for 95% Pakistani women, in Mr. Qamar’ program. Since the subject of human rights is my own area of work, I decided to see both the interviews in full. I listened attentively to all the speakers and public and their arguments for and against human rights. It is with great sadness and a bit of amazement that I am addressing you both because, I have followed Mr. Jan before and came to know his religious position on democracy as well as his close relationship with Mr. Khan. Here is my comment on both videos. 1. In Mr. Qamar’s program, views of both guests clearly reflected the male chauvinism that is prevalent among Pakistani men. They were not talking with facts, documentation or even with respect to women. Their home-made pocket philosophy, bringing selective verses from Islamic scriptures in the discussion and even societal anecdotes does not reflect the over all situation of Pakistani society. We know that women are treated badly, and it has lot to do with the upbringing, religious influence of Mullahs and lack of respect for women issues and needs. The style of discussion, nonstop long monologs and finally, the treatment of the young girl who dared to challenge Mr. Adeem on his bombastic claim of 95% Pakistani women being Jahil is a shameful act that they as public figures should have avoided at all costs. The young girl correctly asked Mr. Adeem to give proof of his claim otherwise apologize to Pakistani women for insulting them. Instead of answering the girl, they shouted at her and started to show a behavior that was against all manners, journalistic principles and Pakistani traditions. In Mr. Jan’s interview, both persons were misleading the Pakistani public by making the issue of Palestine as a religious problem for the Muslim world. This statement is totally incorrect. As a journalist, I have been to Israel few times and have spoken with Palestinian’s authorities, academics, and media. All most all, Palestinians consider their political struggle as the question of their human rights and an independent state, not for Muslims but Palestinians of all denominations. Many Pakistanis do not know, including these two gentlemen that majority of Palestinians are Muslim, but a good number are also Orthodox Christian, agnostic, atheists, and Samaritan. What really irked me was that both Mr. Jan and Mr. Adeem were talking about Palestine without having any contact with the area, know the geopolitical situation or that one state would never result in peace there. Jews would never accept this and being a nuclear power with USA and Europe on its back, Israel would never allow this. So, two state solution is the best deal, Palestinians can have today. Boasting about Muslim Ummah and the duty of Pakistanis to indulge in Jehad is as impractical as Native American asking for taking over of USA. I do hope that in future, Mr. Adeem would listen more and talk less and stop playing the Islam card as lollypop. Pakistanis need practical solution that are possible in 2024 and not what Muslims did in 7th Century.

The remarks made by this so-called motivational speaker, labeling 95% of Pakistani women as 'jahil' and then arrogantly insulting a lady from the audience, are not only deeply offensive but also reveal a troubling level of ignorance and arrogance on his part. His use of derogatory language to belittle and shame individuals, especially women, is utterly unacceptable. This behaviour is not only disrespectful but also counterproductive to the spirit of motivation. It is imperative that he seeks forgiveness not just for his words, but for the disdainful attitude he displayed. In a society striving for equality and education, such regressive and disrespectful attitudes have no place.
