Lesson 14: Realizing Your True Value
How do you value yourself? What gives a person his or her worth? Is it based on outer appearance? Is someone worth more if that person has more material possessions? Does your background or race make you superior than another person?
If you are someone who places value in these superficial things, understand that they are temporary. "Whatever you have will end, but whatever Allah has is everlasting. And We will certainly reward the steadfast according to the best of their deeds."
When you know Allah (swt) created you, you realize your inherent worth as part of Allah's (swt) creation. Our value comes from how we are seen by Allah (swt) and how positively we have impacted other people around us. We are gifted high value when we obey our Lord and are generous, kind, and helpful to others.
The most famous people on Earth may have the lowest value in the sight of Allah (swt), but the most humble, obedient people of God can be seen as the highest of His (swt) creation.
