Such tremendously talented folks, who are so humble. Refreshing to see folks who just purely enjoy making beautiful music and don't care about making megabucks. I applaud you guys as you truly are aces at what you do. Sure would love to hear you live sometime though. Keep singing......the world needs to hear this music!!

The human interaction between the girls, dad to daughter, fossils to friends, is what makes this musical experience so compelling. That intergenerational connection is joyful.

Speaking of F&F fans across the country, I'm from Portland, OR, and I was in Seattle, WA for work. At dinner with my manager, the topic of music came up, as it always does. He said there's this cool band I should check out, Foxes and Fossils. I unzipped my coat, I just happened to be wearing a F&F tee shirt.

I am in the UK but I am sure that I speak for all your fans. There are cover bands and cover bands. Foxes and Fossils are on another level. You take the music that we have enjoyed in past and present years and you add fun and professionalism that takes it to a new level of enjoyment. And you add an enormous sense of family and wholesomeness that makes it so refreshing for all age groups. We all wish you all the very best for this new decade and very much look forward to enjoying your continuing contributions to the wonderful world of music. As a British rocker in my 70s, I salute you all and thank you sincerely for the pleasure you bring to so many. Very best wishes from all your devoted supporters.

Tim, ThankYou sir. Your words hit home. You and I have much in common. I am just a Southern Boy Rocker in my 60's. Blessed to be a guitarist and singer w/such fine folks. Tim and I have been friends for 50 years since High School. Grown up and older together. It's always been a musical life for us as we navigated what Life threw at us. And, here we are on yet another amazing, surprising Journey. Never say Never! Sincerely, Darwin Conort

Love the idea of a virtual concert (pay per view). Do some songs, talk a little, do some more songs. Make this a regular thing once or twice per year. There are online solutions like Vimeo that you need to look into. They can handle the backend (Tickets & Streaming, credit cards). Also think about doing a KZbin live Q & A.. It was great to hear you all speak finally. Keep making music!

Of course they're talented, but what makes them so good as a unit is that each embraces their rolls & is committed to them. It allows their chemistry to flourish. The line " Add your light to the sum of light" comes to mind. Lastly Tim is the eye in the sky who can stand back & survey what unfolds determining who fits where with his keen ears, adding his own talents to fill the gaps. Their always a treat for me because after all this time together You can see they haven't lost their joy, which is the straw that stirs the drink. Great Q & A guys !

Stumbled across F&F almost 8 years ago looking for a cover of Todd Rundgren's "We Gotta Get You a Woman" and what I found was F&F's version - live - which I think is better than Todd's studio version. Long story short, I've been following F&F ever since. So much talent. I melt listening to Maggie & Sammie on "You Can't Hurry Love"... but when Chase belts out "and tell all the stars above" on "Dedicated to the One I Love" I get goose bumps. The Fossils are all polished musicians... the Foxes, phenomenal.

HELP!!!!! I can't stop watching your videos!! I'm a 72 year old lifetime musician, started my first R&R band in eight grade. That was 1961. Got into folk for a couple of years in high school, had a cool folk quartet that was great until The Beatles turned the world on its head and I went back to my trusty Supro guitar, followed by many more later over the years. Have been entertaining ever since, never got rich, played a ton of clubs in the 70's barely making a living, a few concert openings back in the 69's for the Doors, The Byrds, The Turtles... All in Southern Cal. Raised a family of 4 girls and I live in Texas now, a semi retired Registered Nurse (Psych and Substance Abuse) and pretty much a One Man Band entertainer nowadays. specializing in entertaining a lot of "Golden Agers". OK that's out of the way and who cares right? Just wanted to establish that I Love music and it is part of my life every day!! When I stumbled onto you guys last year, it was like what? Who is this? My gosh these videos were like 9 or 10 years. Where are they now? How did I miss them? Fast forward to this November, seeing them come up in my feed more and more. And then I notice some newer videos, like 2019!! I was now hooked.... Look, I am an addiction specialist, that was my specialty in Nursing, I help people get off of drugs and alcohol that are struggling with there addictions. I realize I have become rather obsessed, and need to have me F&F "fix" several times a day! I can't seem to get enough of Ya'll! The Foxes, Maggie, Sammie and Chase!! Talent, Beauty and Subtle Charisma that sneaks up on you and BAM! You are hopelessly addicted! Then there's Tiim, dude you are one talented singer both lead and blender extraordinary. Scott, wonderful tasty bass playing as well as all the other instruments and vocals, Johnny, what a solid timekeeper (and occasional Bass player) , Toby, so appreciative and a bit jealous of your guitar ability and last but not least Darwin, fossil worthy guitar and vocals.. Together you guys are becoming an Internet phenomena. I started sharing a few of your videos on my facebook feed and many of my friends are now catching the F&F Obsession! I love sharing and hearing what they say after they watch and hear your videos!! So I don't know if you guys will ever read this note, it is just one of hundreds, probably thousands of us who just appreciate the hell out of this wonderful band of entertainers.. But thank you and I am really happy that you all made this video to help us older fans get a grip on who you really are. PS I just noticed that Sammie and Maggie have professional Linkedin Accounts and you guys are not just singers with great voices and beautiful looks! You are obviousely smart and well grounded in your lives. Thanks once again!! I will be watching and listening. Marty Prue, Highland Village, Texas "The Timeless Entertainer"

I came across your KZbin videos a few years ago and fell in love with what you guy's do. Kinda reminded me of a band that a friend and I put together over 44 years ago, we were all country boy's raised on ranches in Wyoming except for one who was a transplant to our community. The community as a child we had barn dance's and church dance's with a family of relatives of musicians. My dad played banjos and harmonica, they had a fiddle player, guitar, steel guitar, piano player and someone on the old whisky jug and mouth harp. I had 4 sister that a sang together and did a lot of weddings, dance's, church performancs and funerals. So music was a big part of my life. A big surprise was our band was not into the music we were raised on, we loved and played what is now classic rock, the songs of the late 70's and 80 to 81. We were all so busy with working on the family ranches and school sports then after graduation most of us went different ways, some went on church mission's such as myself. Some of us still play some but not in bands, I raised my kids in music with one son playing the guitar, piano, and sings, another son took my spot as a drummer, another son who sings and 2 daughters that are amazing singer's as well. Thanks guys for the memories you brought back.

I am a fellow KZbin creator about to break 50,000 subs (teaching drywall skills) and LOVE your channel and music. I've listened to you for over an hour today alone. My dad was a good musician and played mandolin and his Martin D28. He had 4 brothers who all played and they even won a band competition in front of thousands once when he was only about 17 with his brothers. We used to have family reunions in the mountains and there would be live Bluegrass music under a Shade tree most of the day and I could sit and listen to that all day long. i’ve always been more into music than most people, but can’t seem to play an instrument worth a hoot but I do understand more about the technical aspects of mixing and such than most and I have to commend you all on the incredible arrangements and mixing that results in such beautiful music. And your harmonies are the best I've ever heard. You'd think you're all family. I especially love the harmonies on Harvest Moon, don’t worry baby, and dedicated to the one I love. I’ve listened to some of them 10 times already. I hope you will release more songs as downloads as I would love to purchase them.

Remarkable group: they are not performing …they are living the music …it naturally exudes from them …I suspect they can’t help it. I stumble on F&F just 5 days ago and I’m not embarrassed to say that I’ve listened to them 75-100 times [and I was out of internet range 2 of those days]. Their communication of music and personal expression immediately stopped my days to partake …the 64 year old fossil I am. I was particularly humbled by Maggie’s voice/delivery in ‘Can’t Hurry Love’ …such a rich tone and command she has. Thanks Tim / y’all. Our Heavenly Father’s blessings and guidance as you consider sharing more.

Having played music in the distant past, I'm impressed with your musical prowess, but even more impressed with your vocal power, harmony, and frankly 'pitch'. I'm simply happy when I listen to you. Tim's voice is powerful.

I've watched all of your old videos and it amazes me as you're playing your wonderful music in those informal venues with cars driving by in the background and people sitting at tables eating and talking while you're performing, how they often seem to be only mildly interested in what you're doing. Good grief, had I been in the audience I would have been entranced.

Agree about the whole being the sum of the parts. The whole that is F&F has a magic that doesn't come along very often. Much brotherly love to you all. You all deserve the acclaim and success.

I had no idea who the blonde singing lead on This Is Dedicated was! I just thought she was someone who happened to be there. Then she started to sing and I was totally gobsmacked! She did sound, indeed, like Cass Elliott and made the video so much more radiant and shining! It's hard to follow y'all, but, it seems that you are following the path of the Beatles, going from live performances to the studio. The only difference is that if the money was there, you'd tour! As a 73-year-old folk/rocker myself, and another fossilized fan of F&F, this "skull: session is more of what I'd like to see along with a plethora of videos, new AND old; even the ones where there may be a bad cable or something entered into the performance that didn't allow it to be shared. SHARE IT ANYWAY!!!!! (I am writing a book on being a musician, starting from the idea of a band and moving forward, as seen from a sound person's point of view. It's titled "There's Always A Buzz! There's Always A Hum!" The Art and Craft of Sound Reinforcement and Zen". Lots of stories of the folk scene in Chicago as it graduated into Folk/rock and Southern rock and blues.) Keep them live songs and videos coming!

I just happened upon one of your videos yesterday and the harmonies simply blew me away. The song was the Crosby, Stills and Nash song "Suite Judy Blues Eyes". It was the very first time I'd heard of Foxes and Fossils and I've become an instant fan. I love your group and I hope you all stay together for a very long time. I've shared a few of your videos on my Facebook page and my subscribers just love them. Thanks for your music...

Thank you so much! As an old guy who played in a number of pretty good cover bands back in the 1970s that performed extremely complicated tunes and harmonies by bands such as the Beach Boys, Hollies, Raspberries, Beatles, etc. etc. and was the lead guitarist and go-to-guy that was responsible for figuring out all the changes, harmony, etc. via listening to 33 1/3 vinyl I have the utmost respect for you guys and love you! KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING! GOD BLESS! :)

@@summerguy1022 The Cranberries weren't formed until 1989. The Raspberries were around in the early 1970s. I do like the Cranberries music, however it's by no means as complicated in terms of vocal harmonies, etc. As the above named bands we used to cover in the 1970s. . . .

Much more later from me, but I watched every second of this Q&A and was enthralled! But now it is 1:55 am in Nebraska (next to Iowa; lol), and if I start watching you more, I will be up until 7:00 am like I was last Friday, 1/24/20. I just subscribed here, and posted y'all on FB this week again. LOVE you Southern folks!!! Y'all ever come to Omaha or Des Moines I will be there with a bunch of friends and family!!! P.S. Dear Maggie, THANK YOU for HARVEST MOON! 💘💘💘🙏🙏🙏 I will tell you why, later! Love, Michael

I have long thought that cover bands need to better the originals in some capacity. Whether that be re-styling, new timing, better vocals or better instrumentals. You folks, knock it out of the park every time. You gave us a taste of Christmas music and I really think you ought to piece together a Christmas or holiday album. You know there is an audience!

Hi. I started playing drums when i was 6 and taught myself guitar when i was 12. Started playing drums for a recording band in the late seventies-early eighties. Started my own band, but i had to give up drums because of arthritis in my wrists, so i just played guitar and still the lead singer. My influences were Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Charley Pride and many others. Love Y'All. Keep up the great music. And stay safe in these crazy times.

I just recently, thanks to KZbin algorithms, became aware of your recordings and am now a HUGE fan! Thank you SO much for the outstanding quality of every video I have watched! It's a great tribute to your wonderful commitment to, and love of, the songs you have so masterfully covered! Suite: Judy Blue Eyes is certainly one of my all-time favorites - and you NAILED it, as Graham Nash himself has acknowledged! I would love to attend a live performance if you ever tour the Northeast. Thank you again, and please keep it going as long as you possibly can!
