Prefer your previous set ups to be honest. Good crowd and glad I’m not the only one who has to play those same old wedding reception tracks every, single, time. Enjoy your uploads. 👍

Personally I prefer the bigger setups but where I have space or load in issues this compact setup is looks like it will work well. Sometimes you have to play what works! Thanks for watching and commenting 😎🎧👍🏻

You've asked for feedback before on your videos but I always watch on my iPad where it isn't easy to type. But I wanted to give some feedback for you! - Really enjoy your intro, showing us the room, showing all your gear, and outlining all the gear you have with you. - I like that you've shortened how much dancing you show. I think about 1 minute, or less, of dancing is plenty. I think it's great when you show maybe 5 seconds of a song and go to the next one. Helps give an idea of what people liked (or didn't like!). - I'd like to see (or hear) a little more of the talking you do (like introductions, toasts, etc.). - I like your recaps at the end. Overall, your gig logs are great and I really enjoy them! An idea for one I'd like is to talk about the different parts to a wedding in the UK. I've heard you talk about a wedding breakfast, but I've never heard of that in the US. Would be interesting to hear about all the parts of UK weddings including the most traditional ceremonies. Also, it seems like you play a lot of music from the US. I'd be interested in a vlog where you talk about the most popular songs from America that you play (and maybe the most popular UK songs you play too!). Keep up the great work!

Thank you for spending the time to comment it’s really appreciated. I keep each clip of music down to a max of 6 seconds to just show what they liked. It’s difficult to get a good balance and not have too much dancing. I had planned to include more of the introductions and speeches but I always forget to record them!! I’ve even had the camera setup! I think the recap is important at the end as it shows my view of what happened. Thanks again 😎🎧👍🏻

No bass bins. That sounded great as it was. You've done it again. Another great night. Noticed the music you played was totally right for the age groups. And the small setup looked great.

I think it's great that people like you, Funky Mike, Costa del DJ. Vaping DJ. And DJ Dynablend. Put up these gig logs. With a relatively new starter ( again) like me with hundreds ( if not thousands) of songs on the laptop. It can be confusing as to what to play next to keep the party going. I can watch these gig logs and see what songs still work for certain age groups and keep the dance floor filled. Thanks.

Best DJ channel on You Tube! Still torn between Equinox Truss Booth and Combi Booth. Such a difficult decision. Get both?

That’s a massive compliment and not one I think I deserve! I think DJ Bar, Rick Web and Jay Book’s subscriber numbers say it all. But thank you anyway 😎🎧👍🏻 I have both booths as they both meet different needs!

Nice "gig" log again JP :) Just wondering what your thoughts are on the inclusion of a mirrorball into a mobile setup? I've not really seen any LED ones that really reproduce the effect of a "proper" one with either one or two really bright spotlights on it. I already have a couple of gig bar 2.0's that I place to the rear of my booth either side so it wouldn't be too much of a job to clamp any lights I wanted to point at the mirrorball onto them. Anyway, would be interested to hear your views on this possible addition to my setup? Thanks DJ Gaz
@RealLifeDJ5 жыл бұрын
I completely agree the old style mirrorball effect was amazing, intact I worked at a party earlier this year where they had one suspended above the dance floor and I capitalised on it and pointed some additional lights at it. I am not sure how you would get one setup and working with the full effect if its part of your setup? I would like to see how it works when you do it though! 😎🎧👍🏻

Another great gig log JP, just goes to show it's not just about loads of light, its the dj! How you finding them mics? Looks like I need to upgrade I'm getting a few sound drops on mine now.
@RealLifeDJ5 жыл бұрын
Dj funkymike thank you Mike, yes the lights help add and make an atmosphere but I believe as long as the sound quality is top end and the music is good the dance floor will pack out! These microphones are amazing best I have ever had in really pleased I did the upgrade. 😎🎧👍🏻

Great gig log but I have a question and wondering if you can help out, I'm a DJ too and a couple have asked me to do their party and it's for renewing their vows, do you still call them bride and groom or mr and mrs? I'm new in this business
@RealLifeDJ5 жыл бұрын
If its renewing of vows personally I would either use Mr & Mrs or their first names but I would ask them which they prefered. It's only Bride and Groom at the actual wedding. 😎🎧👍🏻
