Ryan. This channels name is perfect. Because its not just a berserk channel, or a movie rating for hellraiser channel. Other great horror movies or shows, hunting sasquatch. It's all of these things, and that's Ryan's real life. That's what we love

Hey Ryan, I've been a long-time follower of your channel. I always watch your videos on my phone from my second account, but today I've gotten out of bed in the middle of the night to write you a comment for the first time. It's going to be a longer message, and I know that sometimes one doesn't have the energy to respond to everything, but I know you'll read it. First and foremost, I want to say what a tremendous inspiration you are. And I'm not exaggerating. I discovered your channel through the Berserk series, and since then, I've been obsessed with your videos about Berserk lore. Not only did they have a great atmosphere and were perfectly done, but most importantly, I saw your great wisdom, life experience, psychological analysis, as well as hints of your burnout, depression, frustration, and how you managed it all. I was going through the same thing at that time. And again, in today's video, you speak from my soul. All the questions, feelings, expectations, and hopes that I feel about my own channel (which I create also thanks to you) you answered here. I know how frustrating KZbin can be, how much work and time is behind every video, which sometimes seems like wasted time, but it's not. Not only for me, but for many others, you are an inspiration, a role model, a teacher, a friend, and that's why I want to say, keep doing what you're doing "stubbornly". You are proof that if we work on something long and passionately enough, there's nothing we can't achieve. By the way, what movie would you like to create? :)

Appreciate this very much, thank you 🙏 For the movies, you'll have to wait and see 😁

I have infinite respect for KZbin content creators. The hours it Takes to make something entertaining while being paranoid of how your video will be received seems agonizing.

'The feeling of near constant failure' haha.. Oh God, I feel that. I spent so long on my latest video and it bombed so hard. Barely limped past 1k views. Nightmare. But the next video will be a banger! At least that's what I always tell myself.

Dude, the Berserk Monster Manuel about the Godhand wouldn’t stop showing up on my algorithm. KZbin basically kept telling me to watch it until I finally caved. Best decision ever.

Ryan, it’s ok if you dont see this or respond to it! You are special and inspirational because you believed in what you love/care about and despite that not being the most profitable strategy or efficient path to success you’ve leveraged it in a way that amplifies who you truly are and your passion for the craft you enjoy! That is no small feat bro. MOST people say they love their jobs or whatever they do because it allows them money material things certain schedules etc but if offered something better they would trade it in a heartbeat. They actually settled for the options that are typical in most cases. You chose something completely outlandish in the time you did it and even against what most would say is better judgement, took your leap of faith. In every video you make we can see and feel that you wouldn’t trade this for anything. This is who you are, what you want, and you aren’t taking no for an answer even when its unideal and not going as well as you’d hope! That’s remarkable resolve and passion. It doesn’t matter what you make because just that hunger, commitment and how relatable you are has already sold us. Being real and humble paid off and brought to you the community you sought and viewers for the most part who are really invested in your journey! That moment where you are describing how hard you worked at it and how badly you wanted it to happen when it wasn’t ideal or going well… that shakiness in your throat you get when something is hitting you at the foundation of your core. You can’t fake that! You’re an awesome human my guy and your content competes with people who have TEAMS, capital and more time. You’re doing amazing and I hope that even if you dont hit a million or hundreds of thousands of views/subscribers that you do get enough to keep going with it and eventually reach your goal of directing a film! You are definitely capable of that and the community/your support is only going to grow the further along you get 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼. Love the personal vids and cant wait for more man keep it up no matter what! 👊🏼 THANK YOU!

Hi Ryan, I have been following your channel for years now across a couple channels actually. Firstly, I appreciate your content because your tastes are similar to mines and in your personal life, your commitment to the gym and always talking about that is similar as well. The way you articulate on subjects I like is what hooked me to your content. Second, congrats on the growth of your channel. I want to offer some suggestions on things I think you should be capitalizing on to maximize your earning potential. Reaction content. I see that you have increased a bit on some of the reaction content you do. I know it takes hours for you to come up with a script when reviewing content but it would also be interesting to see your commentary in real-time. There's a big KZbin market for people who react to anime/tv/movies/music, and all sorts of other content. I know for certain I would watch a reaction from you on shows I enjoy. This could lead to you adding more content to your patreon for full/uncut reactions, polls on which shows to watch, etc. It might be easier to start with content like movies because they are one offs and don't require a commitment like if you were to react to 7 seasons of a show you like as I did with Buffy 😆. I started it and I got to finish, as much as I love it I feel like I could've gained more viewership reacting to something more modern. I love Buffy though, so I won't stop till finished. But, I also don't mind if I never get another sub because this is my time capsule. Also, the cool thing about reactions is that people will view videos that are years old simply because they want to see your reaction to the "next episode." There are so many channels that do reaction content and some more specifically anime. You have a great perspective on anime I enjoy and you are very knowledgeable on horror. I watched all your reviews on Vinland Saga season 2 which were great. I know for certain I would have enjoyed watching your reaction as well. This is all just friendly suggestion because I think you have loads of potential and I can see you excelling. This also doesn't mean that you would need to stop the kinds of videos you currently love doing. I'd be happy to assist in any way or answer any questions you have about editing and such. Just let me know 😀. Peace brother!

I'm a newer viewer of your channel, brought in by the great horror retrospectives. I have no aspirations of doing YT full time but I have so much respect for those who do. Our output is super low effort, TBH. We both come up with topics, film ourselves in 1 take having a discussion for 5 - 10 minutes, put some supporting pics in and schedule it. Even with the vast difference in quality of our channels (with yours being FAR superior) I still totally hear a lot of stuff you listed as "Worst". I am sure it's amplified SO much more for people like you who put so much more effort in.

I started watching your videos in 2020 because of Berserk but you rapidly turned into one of my favorite youtubers because of your character, your tenacity, your willingness to put yourself out there and try as hard as you can, your supportiveness of others and how insipiringbyou are when you say one has to keep struggling and never give up (very in line eoth Berserk) because you're not just saying it but doing that. Also I thinl such good character is reflected by the amazing and healthy community I found both here and on the Discord
@crazyand20998 ай бұрын
Two things that might help with your top 2 issues: 1: Your One Piece reviews got crazy views (which you noticed). 2: Jujutsu Kaisen is doing crazy waves on KZbin (I've seen weekly videos on smaller channels than you getting 100 000+ views and I've seen you get recommended it alot). Doing reviews on these two series could provide a big boom to you in the algorithm which will help big time with your channel. I'm not saying you have to enjoy them or give fake reviews, you giving criticisms would still get views and have people talking in the comments.

We’re not fans only because we want to hear your take on things, it’s because of who you are mate ! This is a great insight into what it is like being a KZbinr full time. It really is a dream job that not many people are able or willing to stick to consistently. This video by Ryan and the video Brandon Buckingham made about his experience trying to find success on KZbin are quite similar because it is lays out just how long it could take for viewership to actually grow over time.

I remember when I subbed, you only had about 2000. I think just under 2000 subs and honestly, one of the best channels I've ever subscribed to. I think it was early pandemic days and I was pregnant with my daughter and home because I was so sick with morning sickness I couldn't work. It was before everything got shut down though. Anyway, I'd somewhat recently gotten into berserk in the year or so prior and one of your videos popped up and I decided to watch it. I binged a bunch of your videos and subscribed. I also remember asking you to make a discord server and you didn't know how lol glad you figured it out though. It's been a delight watching you and your channel grow over the years. I'm looking forward to seeing where you and your channel go from here and as always, I wish you all the best going forward :)

My channel is heavily inspired by your work, though not as good, and I can attest that what you're saying is true. Two years, and working my ass off got me to the 1k sub mark. At 1.34k and while it's mostly Berk shorts these days, the progression of my channel is good. One of my most popular videos is on Naruto's Kisame and when it got to the algo, I knew that this was my calling. The past year has been a real effort, but I get good engagement, especially with my Berserk videos. I've thought a lot about giving up, but right now, if I don't create content, I feel like crap. > Hours wasted: my videos on Berk get me views, but when I covered Vagabond, it was excruciatingly painful cause the views were non existent. I plan to make collabs with some YTers in my sub mark and I have before, but man the 9 to 5 just grinds you down...

I genuinely the key is to be “relatable” It’s really simple but it’s not, because it’s hard to get people to “care” you don’t need to be an “actor” like someone told me that if Filthy Frank dropped a video with no promo it would blow up.. maybe you get what I’m saying

Honestly KZbin is so viable, convenient, and fun to do. However, the copyright and algorithm doesn’t help it with aspiring people but I have no doubt that it is possible to make it big. Just have to have an agenda in what content you put out, who are you appealing to, and what is trending (I think). For me, I didn’t hit 1K until 2020-2021 because of the Big Floppa memes lol
