You can't sell your modified models on 3rd party marketplaces. You are limited to using them in a product (game, animation, movie).

You can do load the model and use them regardless of the OS you’re working with.

It’s a zip archive with 3d models that will load in recent Blender versions. If the Ubuntu version is relatively new these files will load in Blender.
