I’ve always wondered if steamed cakes taste any diffrent from baked ones! I know the difference in between the two processes only don’t know if either one affects taste. I believe baking results in denser texture and taste since dry heat evaporates moist ingredients used in a certain batter bringing about the richness of butter flavor whereas steaming results in fluffy texture trapping moisture in therefore providing a robust taste maybe for keeping in the delicate flavor of butter, milk, vanilla and added flavors such as citrus zest. I ought to create a steamer using whatever cookware I have haha in order to have a bite of such delicacy. Thank you for sharing your recipe. Your relations are sure lucky to have you in their lives.
