Once again Disney is putting out another live action movie that no one asked for. In this case the prequel film for Mufasa from Lion King. If they had to make this, it should've been about Scar not Mufasa. I'm not surprised anymore. whoever is the creative head over at Disney doesn't think creatively.

Bob Iger is the one who says "Cartoons are for children" because he apparently has forgotten that Disney was made FOR CHILDREN.

But cartoons aren't just for kids. Anyone can enjoy animated content, but to make content like Live Actions simply because you have the mindset that "cartoons are just for kids" is a stupid mindset.

I’ve been waving the flag of returning to 2D animation since I saw the animated sequence in Mary Poppins Returns. That’s the only thing I remember about that movie. And Once Upon a Studio just proved that they can still do it, they just refuse to bring it back. And it’s super frustrating

I wholeheartedly agree for the return of 2D animation and the once upon a time animation proved they can still do it very well. Moving away from 2D was a huge mistake for Disney

What annoys me is with this prequel they already ruined the origins of the animated original. Which is a cardinal sin and something I won't forgive it for. From Mufasa's family always ruling the pridelands to them going on a journey to find it. just.... no.

Not to mention they've made it to where Mufasa was a nameless orphan lion that's adopted by Scars family. Even though the animation blatantly points out that He and Scar are biological brothers

Actually lots of people were asking for that sense that is something they never did in cartoons i like it because at least its different also in comic books it tells you that mufasha was not the actual king

These movies are not live action. They are quite literally just animated. I don’t know why people keep calling them live action if they were live action, it would be real footage of real lions that is live action..

Only saw parts of that series cause of my daughter, so I didn't fully know. However, Scar would be much more enjoyable to watch a movie about.

The lion guard is not cannon, but then again, The lion king isn't cannon to the lion king anymore, I guess.

Also the live action looks better to me than first movie only reason why I didn't like first live action Lion King is because its just the same story is before and that is another reason why I like the rout they are going for usually they go with sequel but this is different

I give Disney credit for doing something different with this movie, but I never saw anyone ask for one about Mufasa. Scar, yes, Mufasa no. And you've gotta one of the few people that prefer the LA over the animated one. Especially since they just made it the exact same movie.

i assume the live action lion king movie and its prequel mufasa are its own thing and are not canon to the animated 90s story. Just like all other live action retellings of disney's classic movies.

1. Seen plenty of people say they didn't know this movie was legit till the trailer. They thought it was just fan made edits. 2. I never said I didn't know it was a real movie, just that I didn't know why they'd still make it when most don't like the live action stuff.
