Really Lousy Dover Hydraulic Elevator at Riverchase Lodge Pigeon Forge TN

(October 2023) This elevator is in bad shape cosmetically however mechanically it runs amazing. This is a true testament to the quality of these elevators. Two broken security cameras, broken button panel. Dirty glass. Need I say more?

When I was little, my grandfather, would take me and my family here before he discovered Wilderness at the Smokies. He, myself, and my sister would laugh VERY hard at the elevator’s beeping sounds, which I hear have not changed an OUNCE this whole time.

I’ve been there before, I remember this Dover Elevator with a Restricted 5th floor. And I even remember the room I stayed in, It was Room 407

This one has definitely seen better days, however it still runs well and is in fairly good shape for the most part! On the other hand, that definitely has to be the dirtiest window I have EVER seen on a glass elevator! I’ve also never seen a security camera on a glass elevator in the shaft before either! Proves the lousiness of this lodge… Interesting how the 5th floor is keyed off too. Never seen that in a lodge either. However, I do like the design of the shaft on this one too! Very suitable for the resort and fitting for the environment of Pigeon Forge! I also remember seeing this place off the main road as well. Did they actually replace the floor buttons on this one (as in shift them over)?
