Van dick karate chopped Johnson in the throat and tried to injure Solanke with a sneaky stud rake on his calf but he spent most of the game in the refs ear trying to get players sent off. I swear one angle it show bergval got the slightest touch of the ball . . Rules screwed us last week so there you go. Archie Gray was outstanding as was bergval.
@NotoriousJawz15 күн бұрын
exactly, they only kept showing the "bad" angle on TV but barely showed the angle where he either poked the ball or was very close. The first yellow negates all of this 2nd yellow nonsense anyway. It was a gold medal dive by Diaz.
@scottmcnaughton53915 күн бұрын
The second tackle was a card but the first wasn't close to one. For me they even themselves out so no big deal. Not a fan of either team. But jeez Spurs will be dangerous in a year or two if they get some players back and a few new ones in. There are 3-5 essentially kids out there every week either keeping Spurs in games or winning them. Once they have over a hundred games under their belt they'll be so hard to beat.

Liverpool had a lot of the ball as they do, so Spurs, not having the ball anywhere near as much, had to defend more. Never forget that to play a certain way is the main object, but the other team always has other ideas, then you have to play as you’ve trained for when under the kosh. Both Liverpool and Spurs are trained to boss the other team both in attack and defence. And the other team always has an effect on the way you play, whether positively or negatively. So, as Ange said, they were trying to boss and be on the front foot, but Liverpool were trying the same thing, and apparently they’re not a dud team, to judge from their position on the ladder. I’ve already heard pundits saying Liverpool were a bit average, yeah, that happens if the other team is well up for the fight.

Ange always sets a squad that can push at speed for 90-95 mins. It is exertion at levels above normal for that league. At EPL he’s found the highest hurdle as so many players in many teams are at considered peak condition for this sport. The EPL bar is higher and the toll is a lot of soft tissue problems when pushed beyond norm and time is needed for bodies to adapt. That is why his squad usually has many between 23 to 28 years old. It may take more than two seasons this time but when it happens… 👍👍👍👍

You are not alone Ange, there are thousands out here, shouting at the screen. VAR has absolutely ruined the whole flow of our football game. OFF side rule has never been easy to define, but when it is diagnosed and analysed down to the last millimetre it's a bloody joke. How can the width of a blade of grass be used as any kind of advantage is ridiculous. There has to be a clear cut air gap between the one player and the next to be of any advantage, not just the angle of the player. FIFA and the rest of the Alphabet organisations of this world are all the same. THEY JUST WANT TOTAL CONTROL

After the game almost all of the punditry was about refereeing decisions. I feel refereeing became the focus of the game because of Alex Ferguson's manipulation of officals to give united a another advantage. Ange is absolutely spot on about referees being human, one decision even a really bad one doesn't control the whole 90 min, they will always make mistakes throughout a game but over the course of a season things equal out. That's why Ferguson constantly criticised because he didn't what it to even out he wanted it all his way. They need to refocus on teams performances not referees

Funny when he’s not stubborn, changes his tactics and plays move cover in midfield, it works better. I hope some of our fans listen to this and start to wake up a bit. There has been so much rubbish, mainly on Twitter rather than with fans I know, about Ange and his ability to not adapt, that the injuries are just excuses and he is not up to the job. It’s absolute BS and when people spout this nonsense I know they don’t have a deep understand football or what it takes to build something special and have success. All the signs are there to see and this result is a positive combination of the performance and result, but what we are seeing every game is performance, effort, and belief in a way of playing that give huge hope and potential for the future. I think people also forget, we are a mid-table side historically, but some fans act like we have a right to be challenging for the league. Poch overachieved when he shouldn’t have - based on wage bill which historically has a correlation with team performance, we should be 6th/7th every year. Ange over performed in his first season and this season has had to put up with only having a squad availability of only 73%, our second lowest in the past 11 seasons-what do people expect? Like Ange said, we are having to play young and inexperienced players week in, week out. Gray as a CB in the hardest league in the world when he’s a number 8. I don’t get people’s thought process-take away over 25% of any workforce and you’re going to get a drop in productivity. End of rant. Back Ange and up the Spurs.

I don't get this clown. He clearly blamed the ref on Sunday with that "all things equal and balanced" nonsense, but now he says he wasn't. He clearly ADAPTED his tactics this time after the 3-6 thrashing two weeks ago, but he's insistent that he hasn't changed anything and that he was forced to. Even when I want to give him credit for adapting, he throws it in your face and says no, I wasn't! Regardless, brilliant performance by the team. Resolute. Determined. Organised. COYS.

Football could learn from rugby. They’ve had ‘VAR’ or an eye in the sky to help the referee and his discussions with the eye in the sky are relayed to all in the stadium.
