Okay so I am currently getting a tattoo removed and yes it’s painful but luckily mine is small so I just hold my breath during the 30 seconds lol but yes, it does take almost 2 years to fully fade because it depends how deep the ink went and how your body reacts to the lazer. I’m on my 8th session and it is looking waaaaay lighter, part of it is even gone. It does hurt for a few days after the session but you just have to add aquafor. Same as when you are healing a new tattoo.

Tattoo removal tip number one. Go to a cosmetic clinic or dermatologist. Do not go to tattoo removal clinics or tattoo shops they rip you off and ruin your skin. My sister had the same experience where her tattoo was still the same 5 sessions in. She switched from the tattoo shop to a cosmetic clinic and in the first session her tattoo started fading. I visited the same cosmetic clinic and my tattoo twice the size of her is almost gone in 4 sessions. For reference our tattoos were even done by the same artist within the same year.

As a person who does ultrasounds for a living your interaction with the sonographer is very typical for most patients. I showed my coworker and we both laughed so hard. And PSA: we hear "is it a boy or a girl" 10 times a day. So it is no longer funny 🤣

I did 1 yr laser on my upper back- 3rd degree burns the whole time but post healing, it was able to be covered by a rad owl. I still like the owl 10 yrs later so laser must’ve improved since.

Tapping in to let u know, I got a tattoo removed in a similar spot. Hurt like a biotch. It’s gone tho! I only did 7 sessions and it faded as time went on even after I stopped. It was a similar outline type tattoo but I did see fading after the second session or maybe third. It did get so red and inflamed and hideous for dayssss after the treatment.
