Libby is such a sweet girl. I can imagine the fear her mom had, knowing Libby's medical history & what she went through as a toddler. It's wonderful that Dr. Emma did the tests & determined that it was not cancer, & that the treatment she prescribed is helping Libby. Hugs to Libby & her mom. ❤

Cancer research will be finding cures but never the cure. Because cancer is not a disease it's either failure of cell generation (blood cancers) or an entire ever-mutating hostile organism living in you. So it'll be a forever problem, especially as people live longer and longer.

I'm glad this young lady is feeling and looking better. Being faced with cancer at such a young age, well, I cannot imagine what that must be like. It is nice that her mother is such a caring and kind person and so supportive of her daughter. It was a bit disturbing to hear that the other hospital suspected cancer when in fact they didn't even do a biopsy. The stress and anguish of hearing of cancer unnecessarily really is upsetting.

I think that just means there's a probability it could be that. It's likely that because of her genetics she's at higher risk and they felt the need to let her know just incase. Still a scary thing to have to get though.

Antibiotics can have effects on the skin such as being very sensitive to sunlight. I actually had a severe sunburn while in Mexico and being on antibiotics for a sinus infection. I then read the possible side effects on the prescription and it did state that this specific type of antibiotics inhibits the skin of properly reacting to sunlight while you're on it

When I first saw the rash I said out lout (to my dog! 🤭)..... it looks like Pityriasis Rosea! Not that I'm a brain or anything - but that is what I had when I was just a couple years old than Libby. I have never heard of Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris, but I will look it up out of curiosity! Just sharing a tidbit of info.....I was first told that there was nothing they could do for my condition - that it would eventually go away. I kept saying I felt I had 'the creeping crud'! It really effects your confidence! I then had another doctor tell me that he absolutely could give me something for it, and gave me Kenalog cream. It worked like a charm, and it wasn't too long - and I was clear. I felt a weight had been lifted off of me. I now am a retired RN (on permanent disability), but I won't forget how it made me feel - several decades ago. Just wanted to share for any readers that this may impact positively, be proactive, don't give up....and hang in there!! 💕 (So very happy for Libby! 👍)

Yes that blew my mind also that no blood tests were ordered! Very strange indeed I believe. First and foremost, I'd have thought, they would want to reassure Libby and her mother by doing blood tests! Just presuming you know what it is, seems damn right ignorant to me.
