I really like the recent trend of removing unnessecary cameras. I'm starting to see much more dual cameras nowadays compared to say 2 years ago when 3-4 was the standard. Usually two of them are macro and depth scensors which serve no real purpose and take up valuable space as well as ruin the look of the device.

This phone is enough to meet most people needs already. It take decent photos and videos and it is strong enough to run even ps2 emulation decently already. Most people would not have much complaints with it. I myself would have gotten it if I haven't bought a phone earlier on and it's design is used on so many other bbk phones a few months ago.

For around 2 hundred plus to e hundreds plus I have no problem choosing a realme phone for what it can offer. It is already good enough and attractive to me. Compare to oppo,vivo and samsung who sell low specs stuffs even higher realme is a good choice already. Of course there will always be people who want the best bang for their bucks and only redmi can satisfy them and they can live happy as long as the price is low and the specs are good. But there are people who are not fans of redmi phone design and miui os. And we can live with a slight drop in specs for design sake. Xiaomi phones have more ads than other competitors. You pay a lower price for what they give you but you sacrifice your privacy more away.

But today Snapdragon 695 is selling for 15000. Realme like companies have heavy competition with redmi Moto poco. So they know without benifit of cost cutting going to users they won't survive. They are not Apple.

what? locked down? are we talking about the same company? i have the 7 pro with realme ui 3.0 the same as the one in the video, and you can easily change the default message app also i don't even know what realme ID is.. never had to use it or anything... i'm from europe so maybe they have some things different in other regions but realme is as open as it gets.. nearly stock android just with fancy ui edit: spelling

It's a total downgrade over my 2 year old Realme 7. Mine has G95 which is quite comparable to this G99 chipset and it also has a 90 Hz display( IPS LCD). But the camera of realme 7 is the 1/1.7 inch sensor Sony IMX682 compared to this 1/2.7 inch Samsung JN1 sensor lol.

G99 is just slightly improved version /repacked Version of G96!!! Not an huge upgrade in Chipset... From Realme 6 & 7 used G90T then repacked G95 in Realme 8...now...G99 Again... How the company’s fooling customer!!! No real upgrade in terms of chipset!!!(Realme 9's Snapdragon 680 was huge downgrade in Realme number series!!!
