I took my daughters there about 20 years ago when it was Boyd’s Bear. They were disappointed when it closed some time later. I’m glad someone was able to repurpose the original property and open it again. There were rumors (or perhaps fears) by locals that this would become a casino. A resort sounds like a reasonable compromise as there were outlet stores not too far from this property the last time I was in the area. Good luck to the new owners.

Yes we visited years ago when it was Boyds Bears also. We were so sad to see them close too. Very happy someone decided to take on this project. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out! Thanks for watching ❤️

Can tell you for a fact that the locals who live next to Boyds will fight that waterpark.. including myself. Its Gettysburg not Wolf lodge..

Secondly.. were in the midst of a pretty big drought.. just look at the corn next door. So they plan to pump how much water out the ground for a water park?

Everyone seems to have pretty strong opinions about it. I personally enjoy family style resorts. It sits back off the road so hopefully no one will even see it unless they’re going there. Not sure about the future plans though. I feel like it’s an opportunity for the next generation to get excited about Gettysburg and families will have plenty of entertainment.
