I appreciate Jamie Lee Curtis speaking on this topic. I've often wondered why celebrities who are no longer famous seem to spiral out of control once the fame begins to fade. If your identity is based on the accolades and they disappear, that has got to be a crushing feeling....

You're not gone yet Jamie. I clicked on this interview so fast! There are many of us who still appreciate you, no matter your age. I'm a woman in my 60s and I agree with you, that in many respects it's liberating. Love your work!

My goodness. Im 52. Ive loved this woman in everything shes done. Shes in incredible actor and one hell of a woman. They kind of strong woman you love but dont dare F with. So strong, honest, sincere with a solid ethic. You are so lucky to have had this time with her. So suprised she has openly revealed her vulnerability. Girls got huge courage. What a woman.

I was in the MGM Grand playing blackyack in the 90s when all of a sudden Tony Curtis walked in and up to our table. It was like Moses parting the waters. He sat down, was gracious to everyone, the pit bosses walked up and greeted him, he played a hand, and then walked away with his wife. It was surreal and memorable.

i never knew jamie lee could get this vulnerable, the characters she plays are usually stern and stoic. her talking ab disinviting herself is really touching, reminds me of the movie sunset blvd. jamie you are a smart one!

I don't know too much of all the things good or bad told about Jamie, but instinctively I've always liked her very much both as an artist as as a person, she comes across authentic, very smart, sensitive, warm and fun-tastic!❤️ Greetings from Belgium🇧🇪

VERY inciteful, Jamie!...Maggie Smith survived her inevitable aging process in her acting rolls, but she went along with corseted British history roles. Maybe we need more real American history productions....Pamela Andersen is moving into her aging reality. We all think we will live forever, and remain young in the process, but alas not to be.. This is being shown to us now w brave performers....Some are trying now..... I liked Cher's mother's advice. "Don't pay attention to age, and it won't pay attention to you." Just know we have always have stuff to do, just don't linger in front of a mirror.....

Towards the end of his career Tony Curtis did a lot of silly TV movies playing serial killers or washed up old movie stars, but in the end people don't want to remember that, they only want to remember the great movies he did, some like it hot, Spartacus, Operation Petticoat and now of course Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh are considered Hollywood Legends and someday Jamie Lee will be too

I love you Jamie Lee Curtis. I think you are amazing. You are excellent and you have done MORE than enough. Also, you are financially set. TBH, you will never be rejected. After the big movies. There is the stage. You are the best. However, as an actor myself. I totally understand how you feel. I think once your acting is finished, become a director. Build up others.

There is, and shouldn't be age discrimination in any field. Actors should be able to work as long as they want and can.

Millions of people seem to think that people can’t possibly evolve !! As you go through life evolving should be high on the list of truly living a full fold filled life!! However !! Those kind’s of live come from within and not afraid of self evaluation !!! And millions of won’t do it and that’s just one of the reasons of many reasons why there so many alcoholics and drug addicted because they can’t handle the pain of what it feels like to confront yourself!!! Ms.. Curtis basically talking her evolving through her life through her own experiences!!

Unfortunately there is age discrimination in almost every business. Most people don't get the chance to retire on their own terms; they get retired many years earlier -- especially women.

Good grief...I do hope Jamie that you see my message. Only because it never has to end. Please if you will, look into the teaching of Neville Goddard. You can maintain your stardom if that's what you really want until the day you die. No need to be sad. Take my word for it. I am 65 and my life has only just begun. Let me say that your inner conversation must change because Imagination creates reality. Wherever you live is what you shall receive to the last drop. Neville... try it. Feeling is the Secret

Trend of Botox and jaw implants is so bad and they DON'T LOOK GOOD! It's not a problem with a high standard It's a problem with a bad standard because all the Botox and other procedures don't look attractive It's weird ladies. Especially younger women who do it It looks so bad I don't think anyone believes it looks good and I feel very bad for actresses and anyone else who feels pressure about their looks to go to that extreme and end up looking like all these news anchors that think it's better when in fact it's not at all. A little Botox here and there cool but the rest of it has to change I don't think any guys who look at girls with so much work find it attractive. Age naturally ladies it's a much more attractive look and better look. So what You have some wrinkles It's fine embrace it The women in Hollywood were so much better looking back in the day because they didn't have that. Wear some makeup maybe get a tan but don't go this route People are out there looking like aliens and I'm not criticizing looks It's a bad trend and it's putting unnecessary pressure on a whole younger generation who think it looks good and that's a good standard It's a terrible standard just be natural ladies. Well done Jamie., Jamie is gorgeous Looks so much better than these other actresses in anyone with all the work they have done and she's trying to be honest here about pain I respect her a lot and she's an awesome actress
