Awesome tank and fish! Something that could help with getting less algae would be too add a freshwater refugium to the sump. You could grow some fast growing aquatic plants or even some house plants like pothos in the sump. Doing so would remove a lot of nitrates and help with getting less algae growth and when it comes to maintenance it would be much easier to thin out some plants from the sump then scrubbing down the entire tank. Also Ozzie thats a beautiful pond!!

something that would be cool is having a river aquascape with like logs and tree stumps or roots. i doubt you will see this or even take this advice but that murky water would look perfect with all your arowanas, pacu, catfishes and other fish. Also you are amazing i love the ozzie albies foundation ill donate when i get a bit older you are incredible

I just want to preface this by saying there is nothing wrong with how you maintain you’re aquariums; I love the commitment, and by all means, keep doing what you’re doing. But for your consideration, maybe you leave the algae? it helps export nutrients. It can be ugly, but it doesn't harm the fish. Just clean the front glass and make sure circulation is efficient and keeps debris off the bottom to get picked up by the mechanical filter; as long as your biological filter can handle your bio-load, weekly 25% water changes consistently should be all you need, OR get a Sailfin pleco, the albino ones are my favorite. They are incredible at keeping the glass clean, and they get relatively big! Besides cleaning the mechanical filter/filter sock as needed, you’ll be on Easy Street as long as you’re consistent. I love you’re aquariums and Koi Pond; keep being you! 🔥❤️
