Today we are at Pro-Control, here in the North of the Netherlands where it's known as the tech valley. There are many companies here working in the tech and industrial manufacturing space.
They have some cool projects going on and we going to give you a tour of some the PLC control panels that they have in their workshop.

Great video and thanks for giving us a review on control panel 👍... But the audio is not very good , also could you please comment on the platform used for designing the control panel and things to keep in mind. Thanks in advance.

I think we gonna have some major Cosmic Collisions this week, as we are experiencing an anomaly event in which we have hard evidence in detecting 1+ RealPars videos in less than 7 days. A rare anomaly event indeed.

I wonder what facility this control panel was assembled for. Would give some further insight into why this exact setup was chosen !

Hi there, the first one with the BECKHOFF PLC will be installed in a wastewater treatment facility and the second one with S7-400 PLC will control a few reactors.

Can I please know what software was used in designing the panel
@realpars

Sure! AutoCAD Electrical is the software that is used for designing these electrical control panels. Let us know if you have any other questions! :)

I can tell you as a service technician, the biggest mistake controls makes is putting to many relays and overcomplicating the process of building a panel. You can have the same protections with less relays and bells and whistles. Sincerly every service tech ever.

Thank you very much for technical information. And I have one question What is the standard location for ventilation fan?? In the bottom or upper of the panel
@ilyasshaik5369
@ilyasshaik5369 5 жыл бұрын
Bottom is for fresh air intake & top is for exhaust of light/ Hot air from the panel.
@scottsommer6480
@scottsommer6480 5 жыл бұрын
Ilyas is correct: bring in fresh air from the bottom (through a filter!) and use the fan to exhaust from the top, in the opposite corner. Dust and dirt will accumulate around the poutside bottom of the panel, so good filter and good filter maintenance plan is crucial. Also, the intake port should be larger than the exhaust port (25-50% larger in area).

One of the Oil company i went to installed AC along with fan coolers in the control panels.Why do we need to cool the panel so much is it because it contains relays or because the PLC requires cooling like a CPU that needs cooling as well?.
@realpars
@realpars 4 жыл бұрын
The internal temperature of the panel usually needs to be maintained at or below 80F (27C). The factors which play into internal panel temperature are ambient temperature, heat load from all electrical devices, and air flow through the panel. As you can imagine, a panel outdoors in the summertime can get bombarded with solar energy and the panel temperature can rise dramatically. An indoor panel can get quite warm internally if there are many electrical items that produce heat, like power supplies, VFD's, transformers, etc. A panel designer will know how to calculate heat loads from the information provided and be able to determine the best way to keep the internal panel temperature within acceptable limits.

why do i need the red stop button why don't i just shut down the whole transformer

define "shut down the whole transformer". You need a red stop button because its usage is universally understood.
