Used a U tube manometer every work day, as a gas fitter / 1st responder for the gas utility in STL (35 years). U tube manometers were always used over the electronic ones , trial attorneys could never argue about the calibration or accuracy.

Could you please explain how to read the scale correctly in manometry as the cross section of the tube can affect the height difference of the liquid?
@realpars2 ай бұрын
Hello @davidhd9366 Thank you for your question. As we stated in our video, these devices come in different measurements. Therefore, you should try to understand the one you will use. But here are two links that hopefully will help you understand how these devices work. www.fierceelectronics.com/components/manometer-basics kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4S0Y3mGfaiNgM0

What about using windshield washer fluid for working in colder climate?
@realpars3 жыл бұрын
Hey Coopsta33, what a great question! Why not use windshield washer fluid in colder climates? It is usually blue or pink therefore easy to see. If the specific gravity of the washer fluid is the same as the original manometer fluid, pressure interpretation would be exactly the same.

What if Mano meter is designed for air for dust collector. It's just a physical gauge with no liquid. I'm assuming I drill 1/4 inch hole on inlet and 1/4 hole on outlet. Correct?
@realpars6 ай бұрын
Hi @Captain_Barrels. Thanks for reaching out. Can you provide more information please? You mention a manometer for a dust collector. Are you using the manometer as part of a system to measure air flow rate? Are you using the manometer in a duct by any chance?
