Hi Daria, Philip from Ireland here. This is a really great video, and thanks so much for sharing. Omsk looks beautiful, and I hope to visit in 2021. I first visited Russia many years ago as a young graduate, and my experiences there changed the direction of my life. Many years have passed since then, but the people haven't changed at all, and that's what I like most about your video. Russia is truly a great country, and her people are it's special secret. Bravo.

Daria you share so much of yourself through your authentic teaching style, and this family video in Siberia is so...really heartening. Not just a film of Russian phrases but a thoughtful, in-the-moment take on daily life, and the lovely nature walk in snowy forest. I'm completely immersed & can't wait to watch rest. The squirrels are great. Don't those birds know they are supposed to migrate in winter LOL? After only a few weeks of your courses & the self-learning you inspire I could understand some phrases: "Кто там?" I'd just looked up today from the children's book you linked. “Это мой папа и Рома” :) thx again to you & your lovely family for being part of our learning

I am an English teacher, and I know it is not easy to teach a language this way, communication with your students is a bit different, but you're doing it very well :) I loved this video, too :) Even though now I can recognize only a few words, the idea of showing real spoken Russian, and a bit of local culture, and showing us around is just fascinating! I got inspired by this, I think I will make something like a little English video blog for my students :) thanks for everything :)

In your video about your visit to your High School, I promised I would come watch this video and comment on it. This was so much fun! You're such a fun and informative tour guide. My favorite part of the video was getting to watch the Children's dance performance. I love this video so much, because it's as close to learning by immersion, in Russia, as I'm probably ever going to get. I promise I will go back to class soon. Right now, I'm learning so much from listening to you speak every day Russian in your every day life. Of course, aided by your much-appreciated subtitles. By the way, you look a little bit like Megan Boone from "The Blacklist" to me. And yes, That's a good thing.

Шашлык might require some explaining for Americans. Our closest concept is "barbeque" or "grilling out". But really it's like shish kabobs (the common root is obvious), however in america we load our шашлыки with so many vegetables it's no longer appearant that the meat exists

Wonderful Daria ! If I could I would have you book me on a plane ! Kosak dancing and those Russian ladies dancing in their traditional dresses. Liked the behind the scenes , with you performing musically, good posture. I ate potato dumplings in Poland, they tell me they are Polish cuisine. Perhaps Dumplings are too 'heavy' for some people here, traditionally eaten with winter stews. I hope you do not mind me saying so, Your Aunt reminds me of your Mother. The museum looks interesting, perhaps there are some Original manuscripts from 'Crime and Punishment' and 'Brothers Karamazov'. You retrieved your scarf and pillow successfully, fortunate to have handed the conductor your telephone number. Plenty of nice comments below.

Симпатичные девчонки. Так, одна из них забыла паспорт в купе! Только мы начали драться, кто ей напишет, что паспорт «у него»... На следующей станции, отец близняшек , заскочил в вагон, и отнял к нас Счастье!)
